Ferguson Roofing

They are going to be putting the roof on within the next two weeks. Their price came in the middle of all the other estimates I got. I liked some of the little things they provide which made the difference in me choosing them. They take pictures of the roof being done since they know that the customer is not there. If they find anything as they are doing the roof they can show me as they repair it. They brought us a little sample roof and explained roofing in general, which was real informative. I was able to negotiate a price with him.

Person on the phone said they would come out to look at the roof within a week. She said the roofer would get on our roof whether we were home or not. Someone came out 2-3 weeks later. A couple weeks after that, someone from the office called to tell us our quote. By that time we had already selected another company AND had our roof replaced. Obviously company was way too slow with the quote to be taken seriously.

They arrived on time and tore off two layers of old roof and got the new roof down and were gone in a day. Great Job! Thanks.

I was very pleased with their work. Everything went just as scheduled, they were very professional, and we thought they did a fine job. It was a little bit pricey but it seemed to be worth it.

It turned out very well! The project would have been covered by insurance, but we paid ourself. However, the roofing turned out very well! The roof looks great and completely met our expectations. My suggestion is for them to have the customer check with their home protection plan to see if the work is covered, prior to payment.

They did a very nice job. Their price was just a little big high but it was not out of line. They did some minor follow up work and didn't charge me for that. I got a good deal out of it. I was satisfied. They were very competent.

My house is only 6 yrs old but i noticed water marks on ceilings in two rooms. I checked the list, found Ferguson (I had used them before at my old house) and called them. They asked detailed questions and we made an appointment for repairs. They arrived as promised and fixed everything. As in my previous dealings with Ferguson, I was very pleased and confident they had done repairs properly.

They did a very good job. They charged me about $450 for an emergency service. They are a very responsible company and were very prompt. They came out the first day, but unfortunately there was pouring rain and the height of where it was and the wind they do the work the first day. They came the next day and finished off the work. They came out within half an hour and were right here.

It was a good experience for me and I didn?t have to spend anything. I chose them because they had done some work for me in the past too. They do a good job every time. I would use their services in the future too.

We liked their work on our roof so much that we contacted them to find out how much it'd cost to replace our old gutters. We were pleasantly surprised by the cost and booked it. Jeff came out to measure and give us color samples. The actual bid was even lower than we'd expected, we think because they got scrap value for our old copper. Once we gave the go-ahead, it took a while for the work to get done, but we weren't in a hurry. One day we came home and it was done - except for two little 2-foot sections at the front of the house. We called about that not being done - there was a little confusion, but they did send out a guy the next day and those sections were replaced quickly. Overall, very pleased with the work.

We've been very pleased. We first contacted Ferguson over a year before we had the work done. We liked the detailed bid and presentation from Jeff, but the bids we got were all much more than we expected and couldn't afford to do the work at that time. Jeff stayed in touch periodically, just to check in and advise if prices on materials were expected to rise. It never felt like any pressure, and there was never a "if you sign now, we'll cut x% off the price" deal. Once we had the cash to cover the project, he came back out with a new bid (essentially the same as before, although we did negotiate just a little). He provided some addresses to view the two shingle choices we couldn't decide between, which was really helpful. Once we gave the go-ahead, the job was scheduled right away. We had shingles a few days later, and the job was done the following week. The work looks good, and we've had a few months and a number of rainstorms to test it. No problems. Clean-up was excellent. We've found maybe three nails in the whole time since the job was done. We've had a number of neighbors who have commented on the new roof and that the crew appeared to work hard all through the day they were here. We would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. Jeff treated us, a family of two women, as competent decision-makers and never spoke down to us or beyond standard lay terms for the work being done. We were pleased enough to have them also replace our gutters, which looked especially shabby after having the roof replaced.

The whole experience was a pleasure, especially as far as roofing goes. Ferguson actually gave us the lowest bid, and then was recommended by a real-estate friend of mine. They come out promptly to give us a comprehensive bid, started the work within a couple of weeks, and finished it quickly. The roof looks beautiful. The neighbors even commented how impressed they were with how thoroughly the roofers cleaned up every night. Because we have a steeply pitched roof and the houses are only about eight feet apart in our neighborhood, a shingle accidentally rolled off our roof and went through one neighbor's window, which Ferguson quickly repaired to the neighbor's satisfaction.

I spent around $600 on this job and I thought that they were very good. They were very good as far as getting back in touch with me as far as giving me a quote and were timely in getting here to do the work. They are the third or fourth roofing company I had to fix the problem and it appears now it is finally fixed. The other 3 did not do such a good job.

They just finished the job. The job was very professionally done and very quickly done. They came in less than the estimate and I thought the price was excellent. They gave the least expensive estimate of all of the estimates I got. I am very pleased with the job they did.

Initially, it appeared to go relatively well. The salesman was helpful, and we were impressed with their warranty. Their price was competitive with the other bids we got. We selected them due to the glowing reviews on Angies List and the warranty. They showed up for the work within the specified timeframe and called the day before to let us know they were coming. They told us that the job would take 1, maybe 1 1/2 days to complete. It took them 3 days. They finished on a Saturday evening as our guests were arriving for a party. They did an ok job of cleaning up around the house though we continue to find nails more than 6 months later. During the installation, they were supposed to change out a skylight. The salesman ordered the wrong size and it wouldn't fit in the previous hole--the new skylight was much too small. Due to this, they had to hire a handyman to come inside my house and figure out how to hide all of the exposed lumber that they had to use to get the skylight to stay in. This took an additional two days and I had to be home for that. On 11/24/10, it rained extremely hard in St. Louis. My husband walked out to our garage and saw that it was raining inside of our garage in 3 places. I called Ferguson to report this and the receptionist said someone would contact us that day. No one called back. I called that afternoon and got a message that they were gone until the following Monday. I called on 11/29/10 and the service department told me that a truck would be there that day. The technician arrived and determined that our cupola was the problem and caulked around it even though I showed him the interior of the garage and pointed out that it was leaking in a minimum of 3 spots. He told me that it was supposed to rain that afternoon so I would soon know if that worked or not. It didn't and I called Ferguson again that afternoon to report that it was still leaking in several spots. I was told that a service truck would be back out. On 12/4/10, they finally arrived unannounced. I again showed this technician the interior of the garage and told him that I wanted all of the water-stained plywood removed and replaced with fresh plywood that did not contain water stains. He stated that he would go back to Ferguson and recommend this and that we "shouldn't be charged for this". Essentially, the entire garage roof still needs to be replaced. It is now 1/3/11 and I still have not heard a peep out of them. I called again today and was put into voicemail. While I understand that it needs to be a certain temperature to place new shingles on, I cannot believe the lack of communication of this "A" rated company. I wouldn't recommend using them to anyone especially if you believe your $11,000 entitles you to any type of communication or professional courtesy.

I like their responsiveness because no matter when I call, they send someone out.

I did not use this company. They came out promptly and gave me a bid but the bid they gave me was for a different kind of roof than I ultimately decided on.

They did a fair job and I didn?t have any problems with them. The leak around the skylight was causing water damage. I didn?t realize that it was leaking from above. The leak was in a bathroom and I thought that it was due to humidity in the bathroom. So, I had them come out to fix it, as it had been going on for a while. They fixed it permanently and did a great job. There was another company that came out for the drywall job after the leak was fixed. I was very pleased with what they did.

Needed squirrel's nest removed from eaves ... one of Ferguson's guys came out, cleared out the nests, secured the eaves and all is well. No fuss, no muss.

They did a fine job. They charged $700 for the gutters and $300 for the pipes. We didn't have any problems with them. They were proficient and did what they needed to do. They did the work on time and it was great.

I just did ! Good. Removed and discarded old slate roof. Installed new roof with architectural shingles and two roof vents. Plus leaf guard screens install on gutters (different crew). All done including cleanup much faster than I expected. All shingles had to be carried to roof as material delivery could not be made to roof because of pitch and surface of roof (slate). Also great service didn't stop on the job, people in office were very helpful (thanks Laura). Overall experience good considering having to replace your roof is a bummer.

My experience with them has been very good. Once when we had a storm put something on the roof, and they didn t charge us at all. They clean up after themselves and work quickly.

They were slow getting started, but they did a good job. A couple of times we had to get something fixed and they were right here on the job. They stood by their work and their prices were competitive. Since the work has been completed there have been more problems. There have been 3 leaks. The first time they were really fast to get someone out to repair it. The second time there was a problem with the siding and it took forever for someone to come out and fix it. Now this time, the bedroom ceiling has a water stain and the tape that they put up is exposed. So the ceiling needs replastered and painted. They said they will fix the problem with the roof but not the interior damage. They are being very slow. I live about 30 miles away from them and they said they would wait until they had other jobs in this area of town to come out and do the repair. The longer the wait to do the repair, the more damage there is to my house. I also have some shingles missing on the front of my house, I first called them about this problem around Thanksgiving and I am still waiting for that repair. I can't help but wonder what other damage there will be in the meantime. The roof is supposed to have a 15 year warranty but that apparently does not cover the damage to the interior of my home. My outlook on them has changed considerably.

They kept pushing Tamco over other brands they represented. Overall they did a good job, but left a few old shingles lying around. The roofing subcontractor who installed the roof did a good job.

Ferguson Roofing Siding & Guttering explained the procedure to me, and let me know exactly what they thought should be done. The final price was higher than the original estimate, because there was more work that needed to be done than we originally thought. I was prepared, because they told me that was a possibility. The crew was very open, and willing to talk to me. The owner came by, and checked the progress of the work. They took pictures, so that I was able to see the quality of work that they did. I thought that was a very good way to do business. They gave me a lot of confidence, that they were doing the work correctly. Ferguson Roofing didn't do more work than was necessary. I would highly recommend them. This roofing work was not done on the home we live in, it was on another property we own. I need a new roof on my own home, and I will use them for that work in the future.
