Our contact was Leo. The work were fine. We had leaks on the old roof and needed it replaced. They came out really quickly to give us the estimate. From then, it took them about 3-4 weeks to come and do the work, which they let is know during the estimate. The job only took two days. The crew was great. I had no complaints and did a nice job with clean up once the work was completed.

I contacted EBS to get a bid for a roof replacement on my home in Wildwood. I'm always skeptical about contractors so I tried to search for the ones with the best reviews on Angie's list. I contacted the top 3 companies based on reviews and received bids. EBS's bid was competitive, and our sales rep, Mike G. was very knowledgeable and courteous. The job was done quickly and on schedule, and so far I have been very happy with the work they did. The roofing crews were clean cut and made sure they didn't leave nails or other debris in the yard for my son to get hurt on. I would definitely use them again.

The workman performed the work well and cleaned up after themselves. I am happy with the work.

They started on the agreed upon date 22July and finished on 23July as promised. They were great they answered all questions and cleaned up during and after the job was completed. I am very happy with the quality of the job and materials used. I would recommend them highly.

Was later than planned but they kept in touch with me the entire time. Very professional and responsive!

I really, really like them a ton. We had a leak in our roof from the previous roofer. He is still stuck to his original quote. I was impressed with that. Basically, he realized that the nails from the original roofer company had been put in a place that basically no roofer should put nails. He didn't even think to look there because it was like "Roofing 101," so why would they put them there? It's all over the roof and it's just a matter of time to get it replaced. He did an excellent job. I would easily use them again especially if we had to replace the roof. The price was reasonable.

Contractor was very prompt, polite, appeared knowledgeable, and personable. After choosing this company over another, based solely on the overall impression of the contractor, we were unable to get them to send us the estimate. Once we did get ahold of him and told him we wanted to use them, he agreed to come out and secure the property from leaks on thurs or fri, the week if the holiday. He was a no show, no call. After repeated calls to the contractor, we had no choice but to call the other company back. I did get a call back after i left a message saying we were going with someone else. Very disappointing.

Drip edge installed incorrectly. Replaced with correct drip edge VENTS as soon as weather permitted. Workers were polite, exceptionally industrious and the cleanup at the end of each work day was unbelievably thorough. Roof looks great and everyone (especially Dave) was a pleasure to deal with.

I've been working with them since basically last fall. The work is completed and I am working with their billing now. The sales team that came out to do the estimate was professional, on time, responsive. I thought their quote was very fair. They were able to actively work with my insurance company on the repairs that needed to be made. What I did not like was the actual team that came out to do the work, was that it took 2 months for them to get the job done. The first 95% of the work was done in 2 days. The remaining 5% took 2 months. It took a follow up call and some pictures to get them back out. Once I did that, they came out and finished it. The work was done professionally and it looks good. I was told they fired the team that did the original work, whatever that is worth.

It was on the cheaper side. He worked with me all the way through. The workmen broke a window, which I found after the fact, and he came out himself and replaced it. They were very prompt, the price was good, he listened to my problems, worked with me and advised me. I was almost going to go for the new type of roof and he said, with my house and for less money I could do something else and it would be just as good. He checked on it after the fact to see if I was happy with the work. I recommended him to my brother and my daughter.

On schedule, professional sales person and workers, no surprises. I recommended them to a friend who was also very pleased with new roof and ridge vents. Did the job for exactly what my insurance company paid, and included adding ridge vents without additional charges.

With the recent storms, we had a piece of siding blow off our house and other pieces that were loose. Dave Green with Exterior Bulding Solutions was very good to return our calls, give as an estimate, and then scedule a date to do the work. He completed the work as scheduled and did a great job.

I found them on Angie's List and we were very happy with them. Anthony Grossman was the representative that I dealt with from this company. He was very professional and caring. We had just had a disaster with a previous contractor and we had to redo everything that they did. He explained everything and gave me a very competitive bid. They were prompt, clean and did an excellent job. They transformed our house from a shack to a really cute cottage.

He fixed my roof for free! He found the problem and offered to work with the insurance. I was really impressed with him.

Took forever to get scheduled. After scheduling the start date kept getting changed. Part of the drip plate wasn't installed. I had to call another company to finish the job. One of the owners was extremely nice understanding why Ih ad not paid by bill in full and I was a little surprised they only gave me $50 off my bill which was for the drip plate that wasn't installed. My don't for this review is DON'T hire them!!!

When I called to get an estimate to fix a small section of soffit, someone came out right away to give me an estimate. Mike seemed very knowledgeable. I eventually signed the contract and submitted the required 50% down payment. That?s when things went a little haywire. It took a couple of phone calls before my project was even put on the schedule. There didn?t seem to be a lot of communication between the office and the scheduling team, and ultimately the actual people who came to do the repair. They didn?t have the proper materials. So the repairman tried to shove the old broken pieces back into place and they would have left it at that had I not been there to complain. They eventually contacted their supervisor and the repairmen came back a short time later with the proper materials and installed new sections of soffit. I am very pleased with the end result. If I need roof repairs in the future, I will certainly include them in the list of people I will call for estimates. If I do use them in the future, I will just make sure I stay on top of the project from the beginning.

I have nothing bad to say about this company. Anthony Grossman was very polite and took the time to explain the problem and what needed to be done to fix it.

Working with EBS was a pleasure, from working with office staff, original bidder and installer. I would use them again if the occasion arises.

They did a really good job and they had the best price. We called a lot of roofing contractors for estimates and these people were the only honest ones, which is hard to find in a roofing company. They don't try to oversell you or make you put yard signs in your lawn. The people are really nice and professional. I would definitely call them again and I probably will to do some more stuff.

This was the first and only Angies list recommended company I've ever researched. It was a horrible experience. Sales guy was super nice and real easy to work with. Unfortunately easy stopped there. Workers came out and were real rushed to finish job in 1 day. Instead of using scaffolding and steps, as quoted, for steep section, they used step ladders. They ended up mashing my gutters with the ladders. I ended up making them replace the gutters, but i also should have made the replace the gutter guards they hastily destroyed removing the roof. There were a ton of things wrong. Some of the trim looked horrible. The "drip edge" they installed was so tiny and cheap it didn't even cover the plywood decking. My siding came out jagged. Shingles did not lay flat, and cracked caps were noticeable within days. Later I found nicks in my Hot tub cover that they didn't bother to protect except with a tarp. I later had to replace it for $400. Some of the items they came and fixed. Some of the items, they claimed to fix and just hoped I wouldn't check them. The cap of the roof they claimed to fix had no repairs done except one of them had silicone patched over it. The rest were left. The "new" project manager came by later and tried to explain that this is normal, even though my older roof had yet to have cracks in the cap. The whole thing was a disaster, took forever. This was, at best, average work for a price that was much higher then others. I paid the extra money in hopes I'd get quality work.

It took a while because of the storm. They did everything well. I think I would recommend them. They did everything we asked them to do and if something wasn't right, they did everything they could do to make it right for us. They were really good on customer service. They fixed a couple of things that we didn't like without charging. They seemed to be pretty competitive on price.

called for quote on new flat roof, removing old layers, and other hidden problems, and got it. it did take a while for new roof to be installed, but it was understandable due to recent major storms. I tried other companies and they didn't even call back. because we did have a leak, Mike K went up the day he quoted a price and did a short term patch until new roof could be installed. When he came back to have us sign the contract and give him the go ahead, he did another short term patch in another area I was concerned about. the crew showed up on the day they said,and worked straight for 10 hours and then came back on a Saturday to finish...another 5 hours. They cleaned up and were very pleasant. I am very pleased with their work. From start to finish I was kept informed. from ordering materials, delivery of materials to site, start dates, work that was completed, work they would come back to complete next day, clean-up, billing, quality control inspection, everything. I would definitely 100% hire them again. Best contracting experience I ever had. The office even called me to confirm receipt of my final payment in the mail! Thank You EBS!

I called Exterior Solutions after the hail storm in May and asked them to provide a quote on a new roof. I had called them because of their Angie's List rating. The estimator who came out was extremely professional and reviewed the claim info from my insurance company. He said he'd have to talk to them about a few items and that they were quite busy since the storm so not to expect to hear from him for a week or so. No problem. A month later I had still not heard from them so I called the EBS office and asked if they had completed my quote. The estimator apologized and told me that we had fallen through the cracks and that he'd have to speak with my insurance company and get back to me. He said he was sorry and would call soon. That was over 2 months ago. I have never heard back from this company and have selected another roofer. I am really sorry to have to write this, because I was initially very impressed with this company. The hail storms in St. Louis this year generated a lot of work and new companies were dropping off brochures every day. But I wanted to go with an established company and EBS had such a great rating. I still have the impression that EBS is usually a good company to work with - just not in this case.

The quality of work was very good, however the project took much longer than it should have and the responsiveness and punctuality of the company was very poor. My project was a result of the hail storm in April '12, and I needed a new roof, gutters and downspouts, and a piece of siding replaced. My house is a simple, modest house so the effort to replace what I needed was on the low-to-mid level. I hired them at the beginning of May, but the work wasn't completed until mid-September. I knew that they'd probably be busier than normal due to the number of houses that had hail damage in the area, so I expected some delays compared to normal. But I also expected communication when delays were anticipated and responses to my emails and calls when I was looking for status updates. I never received any kind of communication from them except for the few responses to my emails and calls, but even getting responses to my emails and calls would take days or weeks. They even billed me for the final installment of the contract before the work had been completed. I'm pleased with the repairs they made but will probably not hire this company again.
