Work performed: Installed small stamped patio concrete, 3'x2' pond, plants we did not agree to
Work NOT performed: Did not provide design plans, did not install irrigation system, did not landscape lighting,did not reinstall existing wrought iron fence, did not install sod and left 3 small 1' wide rocks for the boulders.
Tom Dunn is a chameleon: nice and personable until he receives 50% deposit Certified Check. Then he completely turns on you. Avoids problems, does not return calls, and if you actually reach him he is defensive, argumentative, and abrasive. He yells and hangs up before conversation is completed. Two work associates and a client were with me when I called to leave him a message when he picked up the phone thinking it was an extension. I inquired when my irrigation system would installed (June and 1/year after paying deposit. He started screaming at me and was so loud, everyone walking into the restaurant with me heard him).
He would not return calls, and letters we sent via Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested were refused. Based on his costs provided for each service received, he still owes me over $10K.
RUN as fast as you can from Tom Dunn, Dunn Lawn and Land!
He uses underskilled laborers,
changes from a lump sum to time & material contract, moves at a
snails pace, provides inadequate documentation of expenses, does not finish
parts of the job, provides sub-standard work then calls you irrational
when you question him. The owner, Tom Dunn, is very unprofessional,
stopped responding to communication, started using his unskilled
laborers for subcontractor work. We had to hire multiple professional consultants to deal with him. He cost us a lot of money, the
backyard project took over 18 months, and he still isn't finished. We
are left with a headache and his excuses and bad behavior. Want to
