While this may be a good estate sale business, they have no regard for the neighborhoods they are invading. And yes, it's an invasion. They were in our subdivision this weekend. Cars were everywhere. Blocking driveways, blocking streets, blocking mail boxes, in yards ... it was horrible. They don't seem to care that it was a weekend and maybe people were still asleep at 5 or 6 am when cars started showing up, or that people had places to go and they were blocked in their driveways. No concern was given to people who had their yards parked in, that the USPS won't deliver mail to a blocked mail box, that the streets were so parked up that people living in this subdivision could not actually go about their day without being accosted by a pile up at the front of their subdivision. Now I understand why the one auction company rents the Lions Club. It's easier and they don't invade someone's neighborhood. If I ever need an estate company, this company will not be on my list for any reason.

I met with the owner of Davis Place Antiques the day before the preview sale on 3-11-15. I explained to him that signage needed to be obtained so that people did not park in the cul-de-sac. The cul-de-sac is too narrow for parking. The next day there was no signage in place and my yard and neighbor's yards were rutted by car's pulling on wet lawns to park. I went over and insisted that they go to get the signage which they eventually did. On Saturday morning at 2 AM (!) cars started arriving and parking in anticipation of the sale which was to start at 9 AM. No signage once again in place. One driver went up a neighbor's driveway and ran across her lawn and became stuck in the mud. A tow truck was called, police were called, and neighbors were traumatized by this activity in the middle of the night. Davis Place Antiques Should Have Known that this was to occur and alerted the neighborhood that people would be arriving in the middle of the night. They should have placed the necessary signage in the cul-de-sac to prevent further damage to lawns the evening prior to the sale. The Frontenac police mandate that there is no parking in the cul-de-sac. It was the Frontenac police that very kindly went to get the signs and installed them in the middle of the night and not Davis Place Antiques. The next morning when Davis Place Antiques workers finally arrived they indicated that it was not unusual for people to arrive in the middle of the night for estate sales. When I discussed the damage to the neighborhood with the owner of Davis Place Antiques he said "they had no idea people would arrive that early." I have since heard that this is common practice with estate sales and Davis Place Antiques should be well aware of this. I mentioned the damage to the neighborhood to Davis Place Antiques and they have made no effort to contact me in that regard. The Insurance appraiser indicated that the neighbor's yard and curbing sustained $800 in damage (which Ins. will cover) but there is an additional $300 damage to lawns. I would hope that this review causes Davis Place Antiques to respond and cover the damage their negligent preparation caused to Tregaron Place Subdivison.
Description of Work: Our neighbor's daughter hired Davis Place Antiques to sell the contents of her parent's house at 411 Tregaron Place, Frontenac MO which is next door to my house.
