Roofing
I PAID $10,000 UP FRONT, AND THAT WAS TO GET IT STARTED. THEN I PAID THE REMAINING $13,000 AFTER HE SAID THE WORK WAS COMPLETE. THE FIRST BIG RAIN WE FOUND THE ROOF LEAKED WORSE THAN IT EVER HAD ALL OVER OUR SHOW ROOM BUSINESS FLOOR. I HAD TO THREATEN LEGAL ACTION AND GET THE POLICE INVOLVED TO GET THEM TO COMPLETE THE JOB. I FOUND THAT THEY HAVE A POLICE RECORD UNDER SEVERAL DIFFERENT NAMES OF PULLING SCAMS IN ATLANTA AND OTHER CITIES, INCLUDING ST. LOUIS, OF COURSE. I WAS REALLY TAKEN. THE POLICE CALLED THEM "GYPSIES". THE UNCLE/OWNER FINALLY AGREED TO COMPLETE THE JOB SO THAT WE WOULDN'T PURSUE THEM LEGALLY OR REPORT THEM TO NEWS STATIONS. IT WAS A TOTAL NIGHTMARE AND I WOULD NEVER WANT ANYBODY TO GO THROUGH THIS.
