The quality and appearance of the siding application was beyond our expectations. Heard these guys were good, but they amazed us! We bought a house with cedar that was deteriorating and dated. The transformation was impressive! Colonial worked with us to find an affordable and attractive design. Eric and Nathan exhibited quality workmanship every day, completing on schedule with great attention to detail. Corners of the windows, fascia, soffits, everything, was done beautifully. No issues at all!

I couldn't have been more satisfied with the quality of work and materials we received from this company. But the real story actually came approximately ten years later. We had a wind storm several months ago that took a piece of siding from the top eave of the roof to the bottom. It was approximately 15 ft in length. Most companies will not work on small jobs but I called Brooks at Colonial Exteriors to see if they would since they did the original job. Within a couple days, Brooks had it replaced. When I asked for the cost he said it has a lifetime guarantee, as he had told me over ten-years before when I contracted with him. He wouldn't take a penny for the replacement. How many companies stand behind their work to this extent! Needless to say, I highly recommend Brooks and Colonial Exteriors.

Workers showed on time to work. If there was something wrong they fixed it before finishing job.

Another contractor had attempted this job first and had severely botched it up. I was having trouble getting some one else to undo and correct the mess I was left with. Brooks came in with his professionals, setting my mind at ease with honesty and fair pricing. Their job was to install new windows to replace the leaking ones damaged by the previous contractor in installation. They also had to remove the siding, which was also installed incorrectly, and redo the entire exterior of the porch to make it leakproof. Brooks made solid promises, which he kept, in spite of going through some personal issues of his own at the time. I had a precarious sun porch for several years; I now have a sturdy light-filled room filled with plants. That does not leak.

They started and we noticed that something was wrong and corrections were made the very next day! They are just great! Price and quality and experience is the best with Colonial!

Colonial did the gutters, downspouts, etc. many years ago and it came with a lifetime guarantee. Over the years, there has been some strong winds that may have blow a small piece of facia off, and they have ALWAYS been easy to reach and replaced the facia right away, no questions, no hassle. I have always appreciated their responsiveness.

Brooks Gentzel is the owner of the company and came to the house to quote the job. He was my first quote and lowest quote of the 5 I received. He is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the process and his guarantee. The work was completed in a reasonable time and his crew did a good job except for the cleanup. I made a call to Brooks and his crew came back the next day and cleaned up and fixed the downspout that were not re-connected to the trim. Brooks is an awesome person to work with and is very responsive to any concerns that we had. Would highly recommend his company!!!

Brooks spent a lot of time talking with my husband and getting all of the details down as to our wants and needs. He never blinked an eye and was able to do everything we needed, within our budget. The work was done very detailed and professional and we are very pleased with the results. Great experience and Great Company!!!

They were at our home for a week and a half. Brooks Ginsel is the owner of the company. They had one of the lower estimates that we got. I had no problem with them. They showed up on time. He was very descriptive for what we are getting. As they were putting it on, if we said that we didn't like the way it looked, they would take care of it right away. It was all the siding and gutters and facia on our home. Our old gutters were just worn out.

Colonial's bid was n the middle. Brookes was top-notch, very professional and responsiveness with all phone calls and messages. Likewise the crew that did the work were very professional. Every night they cleaned up the job site. My garage looks like it was just built - rather than it being close to 80 years old.

I called 4 siding companies to see if they performed repairs. One kindly called me back to to let me know thay only installed. 3 never even returned my calls. I was beginning to feel frustrated. After waiting about a week I called Colonial Exteriors and left a voicemail message. They (Pete) called me back the same day to inform me that they did indeed perform repairs. When he realized how small the job was, he said that as long as I wasn't in a big hurry he would take care of it the next time he had a crew near my neighborhood. He said he wouldn't even bother charging me for it. I insisted that I would be happy to pay for time and material, but he would have none of it since it was such a small job. Less than two weeks later I came home from work to find the compleated repair. They never charged me anything. I am extremely impressed. I give Colonial Exteriors an A+.

We were referred to Colonial by a neighbor who had used them for siding, so we set up a meeting with the owner Brooks (I think that was his name). It seemed like a small business with an owner and maybe a couple small siding crews. I liked the idea of the small mom and pop type business Colonial is vs. the larger companies with their staffs of salespeople, offices, etc. The big places seem like they're always more expensive. They give great presentations but you can't get them out of your house. The presentation was similar to others we received and we got a good impression of the owner. After getting several bids Colonial was the lowest, so we went with them. Our bids ranged from about $11,000 to $45,000, which is crazy. Granted the expensive ones were for Hardiboard, but still... The crew was two people and it took a while to do the house - maybe a month or a little more. They didn't come every day and didn't have a set schedule, but it wasn't a big deal to me. They went over our existing siding with a thin layer of rigid insulation then installed the vinyl siding. The only issue we had was my wife wasn't happy with the trim color around the windows, but it was all because of a misunderstanding of what each considered "trim". It wasn't a big deal but I think my wife wanted the border around the windows to be white but it was the same color as the siding. Brooks offered to take it down and re-do it but luckily my wife let it go. So my only recommendation is if you have particular requests make sure you sketch them out with Brooks so there isn't any misunderstanding. No payment was requested until the project ended and Brooks even took care of a few extras that came up for free, which was nice. I called Colonial a year later for a recommendation on a roofer and I ended up going with their suggestion and was happy with them too.

Owner Brooks is passionate about his business but did not use high pressure tactics. Answered all our questions, worked with us to make color decisions, provided samples, and provided contact information on previous customers (who we did contact.) Submitted a very fair bid compared to estimates from other contractors, included a lifetime material and workmanship warranty. He uses his own crews, in our case an excellent two-man crew (John and Bob) so the project took a couple weeks but was finished by the due date we required. End product was very satisfactory, as we had high expectations that Brooks and his crew met at every turn, including some custom trim work around the front windows.

Everything went great. I had a problem after they left and they came back and fixed it with no questions asked.

Extremely well! Brooks (the owner) is very professional, knowledgeable, helpful and responsive. His lifetime, transferrable warranty (for any reason, including issues caused by the owner) is outstanding! He was recommended overwhelmingly by a number of our neighbors. John and Bob, who actually performed the work, were excellent! They were very particular and careful. They did a beautiful job. They added extra insulation under our two bay areas before covering with soffit. The electrical work was a bonus and finished off the project nicely. They cleaned up each night and were very nice.

Colonial is the best contractor we have ever worked with, bar none. They are honest, professional, knowledgeable and reasonable. Their work was excellent and as unintrusive as possible. They have come back several time over the years to make minor repairs to the siding that were cause BY US or WEATHER!!! Colonial is the gold standard of contractors.

Colonia Exteriors is by far the best company for the work that we had done. They performed the work and they worked with us along with some other sub-contractors to complete an exterior remodelling on our ranch home. We began using them when we undertook a major addition to our home in 2006, including a major siding project; and have used them repeatedly since then as we have done other exterior remodelling projects. I used them at my previous home before using them for the exterior remodelling project. They are extraordinary in their workmanship; and follow-up service. We trust them completely.
