Champion handled my job well.  There were several hiccups with obtaining the wood etc, but it was handled professionally and appropriately.  Ultimately, one of the hiccups was due to an oversight on the part of Champion, and so my final bill was adjusted to reflect that.
I was very happy with the quality of service and the personal care that everyone from Champion took in getting the job done.
I will absolutely hire them again when I have a flooring project.

They worked very hard and it turned out to be a wonderful job. It was difficult installation due to the trasitions pieces from room to room. We had previously had sound proofed and fire proofed flooring which meant that they had to make sure it was all leveled out with the new flooring. They sanded and stained and did a very big job for us.

My home is over 100 years old, and the quarter-sawn oak floors are original to the house.  We wanted to make sure that we had a company that understood how to properly refinish the floors, and was able to match the stain we'd already used for our stair and the second floor, which was done by another company. The technicians from Champion arrived on time, and completed the work on time.  They left the space clean and in workmanlike condition at the end of each day.  They communicated any issues they were having to us, and were able to respond to all of our questions.  When the work was completed, we were not happy with the results of the new quarter round, as it did not match the color of the floors.  One call to the office, and the technician returned and was able to stain the quarter round to our satisfaction.  They did a great job - professional, on-time, and thorough.  While their "dust'less" system is really a "less dust" system, it did significantly reduce the mess involved with refinishing floors in an occupied home.  I will definitely be using them again - we still have a third floor that needs refinishing!

They were professional, courteous, and meticulous in their work.  We are very satisfied with the job they did.  They took a little more time than some of the other companies would have taken, but it was because they ordered samples of different kinds of wood, stained and sealed the different woods different colors, and then had us choose.

After I initially contacted Champion Flooring, Scott came out the next day to talk to me and measure the flooring.   At the same time I also had him measure for the possibility of installing some hardwood at a later date.  Then a few days later, he emailed me a separate bid for each job, since I wasn't sure I was going to install the hardwood, or at least if I was going to have Champion do it.  I was already in the process of having some other work done on the house, so I wasn't in a position to start this project for almost a month.  Champion was very good to work with me about the scheduling.  The first morning, two gentlemen showed up to move the furniture out, seal off the area and then do the sanding, and apply the stain.  The main gentleman doing the staining and later applying the sealer, etc. was really good at his craft.  He took a lot of pains to do a nice job, working with me to try and match the color of other hardwood that this would come up against.  After everything was done, they came back to put the furniture back in place.  After the furniture was back, over the weekend, I noticed that the china cabinet was not level.  When I called, Champion sent two men out the next day to level it. Each day that someone was coming, I would get a call giving me an estimate of the time, since after the first day, it was only for part of the day. The whole experience was very professional.

acid product from a supplier in Indiana and had it rush-delivered, and only charged me for the chemicals, not for the extra labor.
I was impressed with how hard he worked to make things right while still honoring the quoted price.  I would definitely recommend him to others.

I highly recommend Champion Floor.  They were able to quickly give us an itemized bid and schedule the work to be done.  As it happened, we were having our street repaved the week that the work was to be done and due to unforeseen circumstances it was necessary to re-schedule twice.  They were very understanding and accomodating about this.  We were very satisfied with the work, as they did a very good job, came as scheduled, and cleaned up after themselves.  All the workers were very pleasant and professional.  Our bedroom is much improved as a result of their work.

I am EXTREMELY picky about my home and everything in it.  I had wanted to have the marble in my foyer and the linoleum in my laundry room tore out for several years.  We decided that 2012 was the year to start some renovations on our upper level - floors, painting, kitchen remodel, new granite countertops, etc.  After laying out everything we wanted to do, we decided to start with floors first.  I researched flooring companies - I looked at BBB ratings, Angie's List reviews, company profiles and histories, talked with friends, relatives, and neighbors and narrowed it down to four companies.  In talking with some of my neighbors, I found that a neighbor on my street had used Champion at their previous home and had nothing but the highest praise for Champion Floor Company.  I called each company and asked them to come and give me an estimate.  Ralph came to give me the estimate for Champion Floor Company.  I liked Ralph from the moment I met him - he was nice, polite, and courteous.  He answered all of my questions and was very easy to talk with.  I pretty much knew from that moment that I would choose Champion but I did meet with the other companies.  I did choose Champion Floor Company to do the flooring work in my home.
I started with my laundry room because I was having some cabinet work done and the cabinets were almost finished.  Kelly was an absolute joy to work with.  He was very polite and just a great person.  I was very happy to have him in my home.  Kelly is an artist in laying tile.  I have an in-floor drain in my laundry room.  When Kelly got to that point, the drain had to be extended because it wasn't quite long enough.  Kelly took care of that for me and, with absolute precision, cut the tile to fit around the drain.  Awesome job!  It is absolutely perfect from wall to wall and around the drain.  Kelly's work is as good as it gets.
Champion then began demolition of the foyer floor and removal of carpet.  I was really dreading the demolition mainly because I didn't know what to expect and because I feared that it would be really messy.  Said and Phil were very nice and very professional.  They answered all my questions and told me what to expect as they progressed.  The demolition was not bad at all.  There was very little dust and they were very good about cleaning up the debris.  When they were finished with the tear-out and demolition, everything was picked up and cleaned up.
They then began the installation of the new hardwood in the foyer, den, and main hallway.  There were some trouble spots in the foyer as the floor was not level.  Phil and Said took care of that easily.  Because I had hardwood in my kitchen, hearth room, half bath, and mini hall, the new hardwood "butted" up against the old hardwood as the main hallway came off the kitchen.  They meticulously laid the new hardwood so that the wood would match.  Now you cannot tell where the old hardwood ends and the new hardwood begins.
After the new hardwood was laid, they began the sanding process.  When Phil and Said got to where my refrigerator would sit, they encountered a problem.  My new refrigerator had been leaking.  As it turned out my old refrigerator had also been Ieaking.  I was overwhelmed.  During the renovation of my kitchen, my contractor had "pushed out" the wall behind my refrigerator because the new refrigerator was larger than the old one.  The size of my refrigerator area is about 42 inches deep and 38 inches wide.  Champion had laid new hardwood in this new area last week.  After talking with Phil and Said, they began tearing out the hardwood they had just laid last week as well as several boards on the kitchen main floor and some boards in my pantry, which is right beside my refrigerator area.  It was unbelievable.  They tore out hardwood and the sub floor.  I could see the 2 by 4's and insulation.  My contractor had already told me that he was going to replace the copper water line on my new refrigerator but had not done this yet.  Phil and Said went above and beyond.  The water line was on the side of the wall.  Phil felt it would be much better if the water line came in from the back because there would be less likelihood that the line would get pinched or otherwise damaged.  Also, what better time to do this than now - when everything was tore out and you could see what was there.  I told them what my contractor had said.  Phil told me if I would go get the new line he would put it in.  I ran and got what I needed.  Phil put the new line on, drilled holes through the 2 by 4's, and ran the line through the holes and up the back wall.  I was speechless.  What an awesome job!!  They went above and beyond and did a fantastic job.  I couldn't believe they did this for me.  They then laid a new sub floor and new hardwood.  There were some bad spots on my old hardwood that I was concerned about.  I was afraid that they would not be able to sand the spots out.  I had pointed these areas out to Ralph when he came to give the estimate and I pointed them out to Phil and Said.  All three gentlemen did not seem too concerned.  They were right!!  The spots sanded out and now you cannot tell there was ever a problem.
I liked the color of my old hardwood and wanted it matched as closely as possible.  Phil and Said mixed stain and stained small areas of the floor so I could see the finished product.  Even when I thought the stain looked good, Phil felt that it still needed some additional red.  He mixed a couple more times and he was right.  The final stain color combination is perfect!  Then, the refinishing process began.  I had been told that we needed to be off the floors for a period of time to allow sufficient drying time.  So, my husband and I left during this process.  I was anxious to get home to see the finished product.  I was speechless when we walked in!!  The floors were beautiful!!  I walked around and around.  Amazing - that's all I could say.
Because I was having some other work done in my home, and even though I pleaded with my contractor to be careful, there were still some boo-boos that happened.  And there were a couple of small blemishes in the new finish of the hardwood.  I called Champion and Said came back out.  He attempted to fix a couple of the blemishes.  I showed Said my concerns from the contractor boo-boos and he explained my options.  I decided to wait until the contractor was finished then I would ask Champion to come back to buff and apply a second coat of sealer.  My contractor finished and I called Champion again.  Said came out again.  I pointed out the problem areas and he began.  He buffed and applied a second coat of sealer.  The hardwood is spectacular!!  It is flawless and in perfect condition!
I still can't believe the extra work that Phil and Said did because of my leaking refrigerator.  What great work and exceptional customer service!  I highly recommend Champion Floor Company.  It has been an absolute joy working with everyone.  I liked Ralph from the moment I met him.  I met and talked with Kim and Susan in the office and they were very polite and courteous.  Everyone answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable.  Professionalism was at the forefront of everything that everyone did.  I have nothing but the highest praise for Champion Floor Company and recommend them without reservation to do any flooring work.  We plan to do some upgrades to our lower level next year and Champion will absolutely be doing the flooring work wi

The whole experience was a good one. We wanted our house to look better than it did and we knew that hardwood floors would go a long way to accomplishing that goal. Ralph was very honest on what kind of return to expect for our choices of wood (oak gets you back everything, more expensive woods like mahogany and American walnut don't always get you back what you put in when you sell your home). In the end, we decided having a home that we loved should be included in the return and ended up choosing the American walnut. We chose the Mullican solid American walnut because the floor sample we saw had almost no yellow streaks in it. At 5 inches wide with a beautiful finish, it looked awesome. Just to to sure, we did the office first. And it is gorgeous. The gentleman who installed it did a great job and was not only professional but also easy to like. I love the way it turned out and we'll be setting the date for rest of the job by Friday. We chose top of the line wood and the labor costs were very reasonable.

I was very nervous about having this done because of previous experiences with other companies.  However, we used their 99% dust free method and it was very good.  Because of the amount of square footage there was some dust plus they did the steps which most of that is by hand.  But, it was amazing how much cleaner this was than the other time I did it.  We also used their commercial grade Radcoat which worked very well.  We needed to move into the house right away and with Radcoat we were able to do this safely and put the rugs back down right away.  The price seemed higher than some bids but no one else had the products and exact services so I couldn't compare apples to apples.  The guys were always on time and they called to let me know when they were coming.  They wanted to make me happy and knew that I was concerned.  I am so pleased with how everything turned out.

Salesman was on time and early on estimate.  Floor tech Kawan was great to work with.  He called when he was on his way and always showed up on time and was finished when he said he would be.  He was very knowledgeable about the flooring and had great suggestions as to colors of stain.  He explained what he was doing as he went along, and told me how to take care of my floor after refinishing.  He did  a great job on the refinishing and was  a joy to work with.

When Ralph was running behind schedule to arrive for an estimate, he kept me up to date on his revised arrival time.  He was very helpful in providing suggestions for replacement flooring and delivered quite a few samples of varying styles and price range from which to choose the next day.  When I decided to choose this company to complete the work, an installation date was set up within a week.  The installers (Jeff and Jeremy) work specifically for Champion and were quite expedient and careful.  They draped everything with plastic covering to keep the dust out and carefully moved the appliances (including a refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer) out and back in when the work was done.  The job was done in two and a half days, and they left NO mess behind.  They were also quite patient with my 2 year old grandson, who was here with me and wanted to be in the middle of everything.
Overall, the experience was trouble-free and I am satisfied with the outcome.

Ralph (the owner) showed up right on time, and from the beginning we were very impressed. He was professional and friendly, and quickly gained our trust. He listened carefully to us, gave us some good ideas and sound advice, and at no time did we feel any pressure. We particularly liked the way he described how he'd frame in our fireplace hearth, and that he thought our desire for longer-length boards would work well in our open floor plan.

Everything went very smoothly and on schedule. Tear-out went smoothly; the guys were very careful to drape and cover areas to reduce accumulated dust, even thought we thought it might be overkill (it wasn't!). The young man who did the installation was great; obviously he took pride in his work and had years of experience. And the guy who did the staining and finishing is, well, an artist at what he does. Everyone was on time, friendly, and very accommodating to our schedules.

We did have occasion to ask for one minor finishing area to be resolved before the job was declared "done." We were dreading making the call -- we shouldn't have. The return to make the fix happened very quickly, and everyone was very kind and  understanding of our request. Definitely a win-win situation.

I have no qualms in giving Champion Floor my highest recommendation. I now see why I heard so many positive word-of-mouth referrals for them.
