I think this 30 year policy of Brody's is entirely unreasonable. I will not shop at this company again and would not recommend it to others.
I definitely recommend the delivery company, Dain's delivery, who were very professional and reasonable under the circumstances - while Brody's was not.

I had an old (antique?) ceiling pendant that I purchased on eBay that I had installed in my foyer. After a while the fixture started to flicker, so I took it into Brody's to have it rewired and a new socket installed. I dropped it off around 12:30 pm on Friday, and was astonished to receive a call on Saturday morning around 9:30 am informing me that my fixture was ready for pickup. The work looked very solid, and since my husband re-installed it yesterday, it has worked perfectly - no flickering. Super friendly staff waited on me. Nice place, professional vibe, incredibly fast turnaround.

As indicated in other reports, Brody's product prices are substantially higher than the "big box" stores. However, the personal service, great selection, and high quality of products definetly make it worthwhile. Also, the repair prices are reasonable. Kudos especially to Dan, who went beyond the call of duty to find exact shade that we wanted. He even later called about the repair to discuss a change in the type of socket, in order to be fully functional. The repair was done right and on time. If, Dan is not in, do not worry. All the clerks were pleasant and helpful.

Found a lovely lamp, that was just what I was looking for. They are very professional and have a great selection.

I HAVE HAD SEVERAL LAMPS REPAIRED/REWIRED BY BRODY LAMPS, AND THIS LATEST JOB WAS ANOTHER IN A LONG LIST OF HAPPY EXPERIENCES. THEY ARE FAST, REASONABLY PRICED, CONVENIENTLY LOCATED, AND SUPER PROFESSIONAL.

WE NEEDED A LAMPSHADE FOR A LAMP AND THEY SEEMED TO HAVE ONE OF THE LARGEST SELECTIONS IN TOWN. THEIR PRICES SEEM HIGH BUT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A HARD-TO-FIND SIZE, I WOULD RECOMMEND IT. THEY ALSO HAVE A VAST SELECTION OF LAMPS WITH A VERY WIDE VARIETY OF STYLES (AGAIN, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING UNIQUE, IT WOULD BE WORTH CHECKING OUT THEIR SELECTION). FOR LAMPSHADES, THEY RECOMMEND BRINGING THE LAMP ALONG, AND I DEFINITELY AGREE WITH THAT.

THE STORE, IN GENERAL, IS VERY PRICEY, BUT I FOUND THIS MIRROR AND IT WAS VERY WELL PRICED. THEY HAVE MORE VARIETY THAN YOU COULD EVER HOPE FOR IN ANY STORE. THEY ARE PACKED WITH LAMPS, MIRRORS, PRINTS, AND MANY INTERESTING AND UNIQUE ACCESSORIES FOR YOUR HOME. I THOUGHT THE PRICE FOR THE MIRROR WAS VERY REASONABLE.
