September 2021 received contact to replace windows in my home, and sent deposit of $2,500. Signed as received on 9-30 and was told delivery in 3-6 weeks. Contacted Britt by text message 8 weeks later and was given excuse of why it’s late. Continued to check once per month by text message. I received a variety of excuses and no delivery of windows. Requested invoice three times and on march 31, 2022 was informed if I contacted them again they wouldn’t complete the contract. Checked Missouri casenet and found numerous litigation against company, and complaints on business review websites. Request return of deposit. Britt changed terms of original contract by requiring payment in full before installation and an additional $150.00 for the time he spent on this. This was sent by text message and saved. These actions voided the agreement. August 2022 filed claim in St. Louis county small claims court, case number 22SL-SC00416. After Britt repeatedly avoided the process server, the case was heard December 30, 2023. Judgement awarded to plaintiff for $2,500 and court cost $20.50. Britt had the chance to present their case and chose not to. There is no rebuttal or legal reasoning that they are able to keep that deposit. The information I presented in court was accurate. There have been no attempts by Britt to satisfy judgement. This needs to stand as a warning to potential customers that the number and type of complaints against this company are a clear warning to do business with someone else.

This guy and his Russian assistant are awful! Mike Britt has done work for other members of my family so I'm speaking on their behalf as well. Yes, he said what he was going to to do, BUT he's very sloppy and NOT detailed at all. He just "slops" through the work so he can move onto other projects. The only reason why I gave two stars is because he did what he said he was going to do. He's definitely not worth what he charges!

Everything that the two bad reviews are correct! This one man show with his Bosnian helper Don't know what they are doing and he cheated me out of $7500 for windows he ordered and never installed. He kept telling me I had to pay an additional $3900 in a cashier's check before he would finish the job. I have had to fight him every step of the way. He uses the same M.O. on ALL his victims. He runs adds in Leader paper. Look him up on BBB, ANGIE'S LIST, MO ATTORNEY GENERAL, Casenet.COM. THIS Guy needs to be stopped and the only way is to cute him off. NEVER USE HIM!! UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. CONSUMER BEWARE!!

I would give them 0 stars if I could! Michael Britt is a a fraud! He frauded my elderly Mother. He takes people's money and doesn't finish the job, or he says he is finished when it isn't even close to be. He charged over $10,000 for a new deck and it's not even safe to walk on! The posts are rotted, facia is falling off and the railing is loose. For $10,000 you would think everything would be correct, but its not. He said he got a permit but never showed one. Would only show up to work a couple hours a day. When called to ask about questions, he wouldn't answer and would then stop by and just leave a card with nothing on it. Just to show he was there and while there, wouldn't do anything to fix the problem. He is rude, and after looking at other reviews of him, this isn't his first time. He has been to court for the same things. My Mom is elderly and he took advantage of her. He should lose his license, if he even has one.

Really, really, REALLY AWFUL! Britt was given third of money down, plus another $6500 he said he needed for additional supplies and down payments. He kept the money and could not account for nearly $20,000 of it. He could supply no receipts or supplies . He started the work, subcontracted foundation to a great guy (Ray Flagg) and began studding out walls. Covered some exterior walls, no interior walls put in, about one-half of trusses up. Everything open to the elements during three weeks of rain, Britt informed the title company and us that "if he didn't get an additional $16000 from title company, he was walking off job." This is when, as far as we could tell, he still had at least $20,000 in his pocket already. Title Company (was distributing funds) said no way until we have receipts. Britt could not provide receipts and walked off job. Police tell us he cannot be prosecuted because by starting the project he showed "intent" to live up to the terms of contract. This fellow really has a good scam going. PS - We looked him up for BBB complaints before we hired him, but none came up. He had apparently changed name of his company so that nothing comes up unless you just type Britt and Sons. Several complaints and two (including us) Attorney General complaints. If you look him up, don't search for Britt and Sons Contracting and Roofing OR Roofing and Contracting. Just "Britt and Sons" brings him up on BBB. Unfortunately, too late for us. I could give other details, but this is surely enough to start with.
