I was incredibly pleased with my entire experience with Birdsong. I called several companies that were accredited on the BBB and decided to go with Birdsong for the removal of my garage door. The office staff was always very pleasant, they were able to provide a bid from my description/information which saved us both time. Their price was the most reasonable I had found, and I was pleased with their responsiveness and educated questions so I decided to go with them. They were flexible and accommodating with scheduling, the technician Dale showed up within the time window, review the scope of work and cost, and efficiently did the job. He was very pleasant and polite. The price was the same they had quoted me on the phone, overall a great experience. I would use Birdsong Garage Door again. - Jess

Wow! These guys are the gold standard in service and reliability in my experience. We called late in the afternoon and was still able to have a service man come out and do the repair/replacement. Dale, the technician, was a complete pro; gave us alternatives, explained pricing, didn't try to sell us anything. And he worked until the job was done which meant he finished his work day after dark. What a pleasure to get such service. The only reason I haven't made these guys A+ is that there is no such rating on the scale provided. But Birdsong really is a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10. GO BIRDSONG!

From my perspective, the service call was outstanding. The company told me upfront that there would be a charge for the service call. The company scheduled a technician for the afternoon after I called. When he showed up, Dale, the technician, was polite, and professional.. He replaced the cable, and examined the other cable on that same garage door. He showed me that the other cable had also frayed. He indicated that the materials cost of replacing the other cable was $20, and asked whether I would want to replace it. I asked him to do so. I also asked him to look for other items that might need tuning up. He attended to that quickly, and let me know what he was doing, e.g., adjusting the electric "eye". At my request, Dale explained the likely problems that might occur in the future, and how to recognize them. For example, rollers wearing out, cables fraying, etc. I asked Dale about his work, and the company. He also told me that if I did not want to look out for these problems, that I might want to have the company stop by every couple of years. He explained that he loved the job, and that the company treated him very well, not pressuring him to sell things that the customer did not need. Throughout the service call, he patiently answered my questions, and volunteered information that might prove helpful to me.

The only problem was the door was frozen to the ground.  He just tugged on it a little and it opened. They charged me $84 just for coming. I feel taken advantage of because they did not tell me there was a charge to just come out for a service call. I really feel like it was ethically wrong to charge me that much. They should of told me what the service charge was up front before coming out. It was not like they did a diagnostic on my garage door. He just tugged it up.

I used them in the past and had bad service and I tried to use them again and this was the last straw.

I just called them and they said, "You didn't you grandson take care of your frozen door," when I told them about me service today. I find it very unporfessional and would never recommend them to anyone. That was very rude.

Excellent service and advice.  Our garage door is 23 years old.  They serviced it quickly and thoroughly.   We will use them for inpsections in the future.

Get an estimate from them before they start work. 

Birdsong Garage Door did a very good job. The man did the job well and quickly.

Very well, the only snag was when they tried to charge extra for a 2nd remote which was included in their original bid. Once I complained they quickly removed the extra charge.

The guy who came arrived on time and had the repair finished in 15 minutes. The price was very reasonable.

I picked them because they put our garage door in in the fall of 2003 and after several bids theirs was the best price by far. Our rollers became all mangled one day and the door would not go up. They came promptly when I called. That was great! The technician, Derek, was polite, helpful and knowledgeable. Our opener is old and he spent time tightening it up, greasing and adjusting, for which I was very grateful. Although they gave us a great price on our door in 2003, I do think they charge top prices, and I maybe could have spent more time trying to find some one less expensive.

Called to get price & availability. Very polite person on the other end sold me on their price/quality. Scheduled the appointment, technician arrived on time, completed the job & took the time to explain about why it broke.

I would use them again.

I called Monday morning. I received a call back an hour later to schedule an appointment. Kevin came at 11:15 that day. It took him 1/2 hour to replace the spring. He was very courteous. I would call again.

The work The Birdsong Co. did to my house was great. The workers did a quality job and they were very friendly when answering my questions. The work was done on time and with great quality. I would recommend them to anyone.

THIS WAS A VERY CREATIVE RESPONSE BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WE WERE GOING TO DO BECAUSE I DID NOT WANT TO KILL THE TREE.

RECEPTIONIST ON THE PHONE AND THE WORKER THAT CAME OUT WERE BOTH POLITE AND PLEASANT. THE WORKMAN CLEANED UP WELL AFTER FINISHING. I PICKED THIS COMPANY (ALTHOUGH THEY WERE NOT THE CHEAPEST) DUE TO THE FACT THAT I WAS TOLD OVER THE PHONE THAT BY HAVING BOTH SPRINGS REPLACED AND BY PAYING A LITTLE MORE, THEY WOULD WARRANTY THE SPRINGS FOR LIFE. HOWEVER, THE PAPERWORK THAT I SIGNED STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE ONLY UNDER WARRANTY FOR 1 YEAR. I POINTED THIS OUT TO THE WORKMAN AND HE STATED THAT THE COMPANY WOULD HONOR WHAT I WAS TOLD OVER THE PHONE. I FIND THE DISCREPANCY TO BE TROUBLESOME AND SOMEWHAT UNPROFESSIONAL. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SOMETHING IN WRITING RE THE LIFETIME WARRANTY.

QUALITY WORK AND VERY REASONABLE.

MY SON ENDED UP FIXING THE DOOR AFTER TWO TRIPS BY THEM.

THE DOORS, STANDARD WHITE ONES, WERE NOT IN STOCK AT BIRDSONG, SO WERE ORDERED. THAT TOOK TWO WEEKS. THE SUPPLIER THEN SENT AN INCOMPLETE ORDER, SO THE WORK WAS DELAYED AN ADDITIONAL 2 WEEKS. OTHER THAN THAT, THE WORK WAS DONE WELL AND EVERYTHING WAS CLEAN WHEN THE WORKMAN LEFT. THE SALESMAN WAS VERY DISTRESSED OVER THE DELAY, BUT REALLY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN WAIT.

EVERYONE WITH THIS COMPANY I ENCOUNTERED WAS VERY FRIENDLY, NICE, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HELPFUL. ONCE I AGREED TO HIRE THE COMPANY, THEY CAME OUT AND DID THE JOB THE NEXT WORKING DAY.

VERY RELIABLE. USED THEM IN THE PAST.
