 + 0 moreThis has been the worst experience of my life. I may loose my escrow money and have had to cancel multiple workers and providers multiple times as I have no idea when my closing date will take place. Not only that, but my current lease runs out in a few weeks so should the deal fall apart, I may have to scramble to find a new apartment.
Description of Work: I am a Bank of America customer in Saint Louis, MO and was attempting to obtain a mortgage through Bank of America. They pre-approved me for well above the purchase price of the house and sent me a loan commitment approximately 10 days before the scheduled closing. They have all of my documentation and have not asked for any further papers in at least 2 weeks. The house was inspected and is in great condition. My credit and employment history are also very good. Currently, we were scheduled to close 5 days ago. My agent now tells me that Bank of America is routing their underwriting services to other divisions or customers. As such, the underwriters will not even respond to calls to the Bank of America agent I have been dealing with to obtain further information. Initially they did give me some explanation concerning the sellers, but I letter found the explanation to be untrue. Currently, Bank of America underwriting is refusing to give me any explanation concerning the delays. While I have not heard of other people having this bad of an experience, I have found more people having difficulty with Bank of America mortgages and at least 1 real estate agent has told me that they prefer not to deal with Bank of America.
