Replace a broken tooth in denture. EXCELLENT service, helpful people. Allowed to take to the lab for repair, both placed worked me into there schedule. Highly recommend.

They are very good. The women who work there are extremely professional. It's really modern dental care. It's as probably as cutting edge dental care you can get. It's all the way up to the latest techniques. I am not a person that volunteers to go to the dentist. So, if I tell you that they are good, they are good.

I have worked with folks I consider bad care providers in this field and could not have been more pleased to discover Ballas Dental Care. They are consummate professionals, always courteous, pleasant and informative. I positively LOVE the fact that they provide text message reminders of appointments - very helpful for those of us with very full schedules! The dentists are excellent, and I have found the hygenists to be wonderful. I highly recommend this group.

I would not use Ballas Dental ever again. The dentist are either part-time or disinterested in digging into issues. They would rather fill cavities, sell x-rays and perform boutique services they are ill skilled to deliver.

"Dear Patient, We wanted to address your concerns, we had to go back pretty far to investigate the issues you mentioned in this review. I can not find any visits for you in 2012 but did for 2011 and 2013. Both visits were for different sides of your mouth. Since you use an oral appliance for grinding this fractured tooth could have happened after a visit to our office. We are proud to say we have all the latest technology. Our patient care is the utmost concern to us and we do everything we can to provide the best dental care. We are sorry you feel we missed something, that would be very unusual for our office. We have 2 full time dentist, Dr. Watanabe who is a highly respected and successful dentist in St. Louis for over 40 years and his partner Dr. William Haines who has been in practice with us for over 11 years. We do have Dr. Jan Olivier, a very highly qualified dentist, who works with us 3 days a week and has worked at Ballas Dental Care for approximately 13 years. We never perform work without giving our patients as much financial and insurance information as we can, so you know ahead of time what your out of pocket expenses will be. I am not sure what you mean in the last sentence of your review... we do not perform boutique services. We do treat our patients like family, we perform necessary dental work to help them have a healthy, clean and beautiful mouth. Please call our office if you need us to transfer your records."

The best dental practice I have ever had. Highly professional, friendly, knowledgeable. I am moving to DC and I am so sorry that I will be unable to rely on Dr. Watanabe and his great team! It will be hard to replace.

The doctor, Robert Morris, was very honest and straight up with his explanations on the treatment. Also, because of the nature of my treatment, I was worried about the aftermath, but he did an awesome job and also explained what has to happen with the after care, very clearly.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Robert Morris again to any one who needs to extract their molars.

A bit of a wait for 1pm appt... many people in waiting room. Older building at Ballas Rd & Clayton... interior hallways and offices could use updated fixtures and paint.
Hygienist was friendly and effective with manual cleaning, flouride treatment, x-rays. Professional.
Dr. Watanabe is older, professional, friendly, effective. Discussed the x-ray results, and sonic images for potential cracks & replacement fillings needed in the future (planning to replace a few amalgam (silver) fillings (35 yr old fillings) with composite fillings. Good consultation, no pressure. Overall, a good visit.

The office was nice. I liked it, they were good. Everybody was friendly, and they were just nice. They got me in right away. The office is very nice and clean. I had been waiting for 10 minutes, and then I told the secretary that I was going to the bathroom, and then I came back and sat in the waiting room. Other people came after me, and had their name called, so I went to ask her, and she said that she forgot when my name was called out. They then got me in right away. The first time I came in to get my teeth cleaned, they gave me trays for whitening, and then they gave me the thing to put in the trays for free for waiting. The dentist was nice, I liked him, and my sister will also be going there too. He talked to me about what was going on with my cavities. I didn't know I had cavities, and was surprised when he said I had two cavities. They are going to take payments from me, and so I don't have to pay through my credit card.

Best hygienist ever!!!! (Thanks Mary Frost!) I have never had such a thorough cleaning and exam. Mary was professional, informative, knowledgeable, and pleasant too. She even motivated me to take a bit better care of my teeth. The dentist was great too tho I'll find out more when he fills a few cavities.
My battery in my car died as I was leaving for my appointment. They were so helpful when I called and even worked me in later due to a cancellation. Talk about service!
It's been awhile since I had a regular dentist; I plan on keeping these guys for a long time.

When I explained to the staff at Ballas dental that I hadn't been to the dentist in 18 years and that I had "dental phobia", they couldn't have been more understanding and caring. I have been back to Ballas Dental for three more appointments since my root canal. Doctor Hanes and Sherry were immensely helpful in helping me get over my fear as well providing top notch care.

Before the appointment, I filled out the appropriate forms online. On the form, it looked like they were trying to pin point your concerns. Of course, I had more questions than what was on form, but didn't include that because I figured I would have enough time to talk to Dr. Watanabe at my appointment. This office schedules their appointments according to when a dental assistant can take you; therefore, the dentists have to "squeeze" you in while they are also working on other patients. The dental assistant was okay and took care of everything, although I would not want her again. Dr. Watanabe came in very briefly, addressed concerns that he must have noticed on the form, but did NOT give me an opportunity to ask additional questions. He was in the room for approximately 1-2 minutes, then left. I had no idea that he was gone for good to work on someone else. I thought he would be coming back to ask if I had any other questions. I would not go back. I want to feel like I'm primarily seeing the dentist; not the dental assistant.

This gives us time to chart your dental conditions, take all necessary x-rays, clean, floss and polish your teeth and if needed go over your future treatment. Our dentist do come in to do their exam as part of your cleaning after the hygienist has completed their portion of the visit. I do see that it is noted in your chart that you discussed several dental/Health issues with the dentist and that we made you an hour return appointment to discuss your treatment and to give you time to discuss in detail all your questions. I will call you today to see if I can help you further. Thank you"

They are pretty much painless, which is nice. They're very understanding. They bent over backwards to help my son, who has a lot of dental work to be done. They go way above and beyond. He had to have a lot of teeth rebuilt.

They are pretty punctual and that is one thing that I love about them. You do not wait around. You go in, you have your appointment and you go home. I love their office and staff there. They are very friendly. We usually see the same hygienist but if we see a different one, they are all great. I have not had a bad experience with one. I like all of the doctors there. We usually see one particular doctor but if Dr. Haines is not available, the other doctors are fantastic. They are great with the kids. I just love them. We would absolutely use them again in the future.

Dr. Wantanabee also is an excellent dentist. He was able to actually get my tetracycaline stained teeth brighter (big smile). While they are not inexpensive, I highly recommend Ballas Dental.

I have been going to Ballas Dental for 35 years! Dr Watanabe seems ageless. He has always taken excellent care of my teeth. I don't have any real problems but if I did I am confident he would be able to take care of them with the least amount of pain. My hygienist, Mary, is very meticulous and knowledgeable about her profession. I have also seen Dr Hanes who is top notch. The office keeps up on the latest techniques in dental care. I also fell they would be able to work with a patient who had a financial hardship, although I have not been in that position. I'll keep going there as long as Dr Watanbe is practicing, and if he retires, I'll go see Dr Hanes.
