Jimmy tested the house's water pressure and then identified the source of the hammering as an unsecured water line to my refrigerator knocking against a wall. Found a simple solution to the problem. Understand that Aries has been purchased by PK Plumbing. Hope they keep up the great service we have had from Aries in the past.

I had a leak that appeared to be coming from the main living level of my home and dripping into the basement. As it turned out there was a small hole at the top of the expansion tank for my water heater located in the basement. Plumber found it very quickly and sent his apprentice for a new expansion tank while he caulked around the faucet of my tub and also repaired an occasional leak under my kitchen sink. He then replaced The expansion tank and they were on their way within about an hour. Very reasonable, too.

Aries was one of two companies that replied to my request for bid. The other quoted my service call rates so I don't think they understood or read what work I was needing done. Aries followed after a couple of days after I did not respond to their email. When I called to get a quote, they scheduled a time for the master plumber to come out to the house to check the scope of work and speak with me. I got quotes from several neighborhood plumbers before using Angie's List and none of them talked to me or looked in my basement before giving a quote. Aries also called for locates before coming out to give a bid. They were responsive all through the process, showed up when they said they would and did what I wanted and what they said they would. It took 2 days to replace the water service because the city could not get out until the next morning to do a new tap. I was only without water while they were making the new connection. My sidewalk wasn't replaced until the next week because they cut an AT&T cable while excavating and AT&T took their time about making repairs. I rated cost at B because even though they came in at the average of the other bids I received, I am still working on accepting how much stuff costs these days. I rated quality at B because the service coming up from the base of the wall to the existing plumbing is not plumb. It does not affect operation, it is just an aesthetic thing. Overall a great experience and will definitely hire again if needed.

I was charged $850.00 to install a toilet and sink. The plumber was onsite for 4 hours. I originally called and told them the tasks that I wanted them to perform and was told I would pay an hourly rate. I was then charged $363.00 for the toilet and $464.00 for the sink. They claim they have set prices for these items and they don't charge an hourly rate. Their pricing is ridiculous. I will never use them again and suggest to others to not use them either. They will charge you for whatever they want and will not charge you what was originally proposed. I called and complained about the pricing and the discrepancy in their pricing and they didn't care and didn't offer any solution.

At 11:00, I called Aries about the first floor toilet seal leaking into the basement. Jimmy showed up shortly after Noon. He gave us some hints about how to deal with the upstairs bathroom sink drain and worked efficiently to repair the toilet seal. During the process, he also replaced the toilet water delivery shut off valve O-ring. I mentioned that the Price Pfister shower fixture wasn't delivering hot water effectively and he made an adjustment. When all the work was completed, Jimmy only charged us for the toilet repair - and then gave us the Senior 15% Discount. Jimmy rocks!

I called them and they came out immediately and found the problem. It was actually caused by a seal under the toilet that wasn't working properly. They fixed it right away. They were very professional. The price was very reasonable. I have already recommended them to at least 2 other people.
