Had a problem with my fridge, which has a limited 5 year warranty. Appliance Discounters are a subcontractor for the brand that sold me my fridge and they have contacted me regarding this matter.

During my conversation with the dispatcher I specifically noted if the warranty does not cover their service I won't use it. The dispatcher agreed. No fees or charges of any kind were mentioned by the dispatcher.

The servicemen arrived and checked the fridge. I must say that both servicemen were very professional and knowledgeable, diagnosed the problem right away. The fridge did not needed repairs, but I was a charged a 75$  visit fee, which has never been mentioned to me prior, though we had a few scheduling calls with the company. When I tried to clarify this on the phone with the dispatcher he "didn't remember".

I would recommend to all thinking of hiring this company to be careful before ordering their services and beware of hidden charges or undisclosed fees.

Thank you.

I met Vince at the Arnold location. I went there once in the early stages of my remodel and got one price quote for basics. Vince and Armando told me if I found a better deal, please let them know, they would beat it. After figuring out exactly what I wanted and finding the lowest price at a big box store, I went back to Vince. He was true to his word! I got exactly what I wanted, plus a slight upgrade on the dishwasher, for cheaper than the Black Friday sales at the big box stores. Originally,I was going to let my husband do the install, but wanted to save him the trouble, so I called Vince back right before my delivery date, and added on the install price, still cheaper than big box stores, mind you! James was the main installer and he was great. A couple of hiccups later, from the layout of my kitchen, and everything was installed perfectly. There was a dent in my freezer door, which Vince immediately ordered a replacement, since I did not buy scratch and dent. I highly recommend Appliance Discounters!

The washer and dryer were delivered on time, set-up was all done for us and they walked us through how to use them. When the manufacturer ceased to include the shoe rack for my dryer, I went up and spoke with John and he gave us one off the floor. We felt like family there and will return.

The pricing is the reason for going to them and the young man who helped us named Nicholas is very nice and helpful. They service was great, he was very neat and he has different quotes. He followed up with us and we just like him.

We purchased all our GE appliances from them last August. We didn't have our final plans for our kitchen yet but they agreed to hold them till we needed them. GE was discontinuing a style that we wanted so that's why I bought them when I did. There was also a large rebate for purchasing at least 4 appliances which was a big incentive for us. Our kitchen remodel didn't begin until November and they said it would be okay to hold them until we needed them delivered, which was December. They were so professional in all their dealings with us and I so greatly appreciated them holding the appliances as long as they did. They helped with a rebate problem (mine) and got us the rebate after all. I would recommend them to anyone.

I literally sent an email asking for pricing on a Sunday night. I heard back that night and put in the order Monday. They delivered and had it installed by the end of the week. Amazing. Great service and great price! A++

We went to the St. Charles store on the recommendation of a friend. The store is very nice and had a pretty good selection. The salesmen was very polite and professional. He gave us a great deal on a brand new refrigerator and the whole buying experience was great.
We were told that refrigerator would be in by 2/18 and it would be delivered by 2/23. The saleman told me that they would call on 2/19 when it was in, and they would set up a delivery time. By 2/21 I had not heard anything so I called to see what was going on. I was told that they were moving warehouses and that the snow storm had backed things up. I was told that I would be called by 2/27 and that we would set up a date then.
Well 2/27 came and went with no call. So on 2/28, I called again. I was told that it was in and they set up a delievery date for me. The man on the phone told me somone would call me on Friday evening to let me know what time they would be coming.
Once again, no one called me and on Saturday I had to call again. I was told they were coming for sure. The delivery men did a great job and were friendly. The only issue I had was the refrigerator door handles were in a styrofoam box. The guy ripped it open and made a huge mess. They just left the huge mess when they were done and I had to clean it up.
All in all I would use them again. They have great prices and a good staff. They just need to communicate with the customer. I did not mind waiting three weeks, just keep me in the loop on what is going on.

In May we purchased a new range, microwave, dishwasher and french door fridge from Appliance Discounters. The prices were competitive. Although they sell new, undamaged appliances, they encourage buyers to consider purchasing scratch and dent items to save money. I have no complaints about the new items we purchased. Unfortunately, we agreed to purchase a scratch and dent fridge, because it was priced $350 less than a perfect fridge. When trying to decide whether to go with a new or scratch and dent item, we explained to the saleswoman that the left side of the fridge needed to be undamaged, because it would be exposed in our kitchen. She assured us she would be able to find a fridge that met our needs. She also told us we didn't need to worry if the doors on the scratch and dent fridge were damaged because the doors could be replaced with new ones. After two months, multiple calls to the store to see if our fridge had arrived, and four trips to the warehouse to view possible fridges -- all of which had damage to the left side-- we found one that was essentially dent-free on the left side. We were never able to get one that was completely without damage on the left side. The scratch and dent fridge was delivered to our home in late July. When it was unpacked we noticed that all three doors were damaged. I did not refuse delivery, because I understood that getting replacement doors would not be a problem. As soon as the delivery men left, I called my saleswoman and explained that all three doors had dents in them. I was told new doors would be ordered. A few weeks later, after more calls to the store concerning the status of the new doors, only two doors were delivered to my home and installed. On top of that, one of the new doors was also damaged. When I called the store about the doors, I was told only two doors had been ordered for me. I explained that when the fridge was delivered, I called the store and said I needed three doors, not two. I was told that the store could not order any more new doors for my fridge. I would have to wait until another unit came in with undamaged doors, and then the store would remove the undamaged doors from the new unit, and install them on my fridge. This was on August 24th. After hearing nothing for three more weeks, I called again today, and was told the store is still waiting for a fridge with undamaged doors. I was also told today, for the first time, that I was lucky to get two new doors last time. I was told that, typically, the manufacturer will only send one new door. This was never explained to me when deciding to purchase the fridge. So, I'm still waiting on doors for my fridge. All in all, I feel Appliance Discounters has been less than honest with me on the scratch and dent issue. Please be warned, if you don't care what an appliance looks like, buying a scratch and dent item for Appliance Discounters may be the way to go. If you want a decent looking item, stay away from their scratch and dent inventory.
Response from Appliance Discounters
"We acknowledge that the process to replace the doors on Member's refrigerator took longer than expected. But in the end, the refrigerator has all brand new doors, no damage on the side that is exposed, and was $350 cheaper that buying one in the box. Appliance Discounters paid for the third door to be replaced since it was taking so long to come in. We pride ourselves on customer service, and will do anything it takes to make a customer happy. Even if that means holding 4 different refrigerators for them to come in and take a look at. All the other appliances Member received had no issues at all , and were also at a great discount."
