Service personnel are always punctual and professional. I pay once a year for their maintenance service which includes two visits a year - one for the furnace and one for the air conditioner. It's not cheap, but is reasonable. And they haven't raised their prices in three years.

Michael was very professional and polite. He provided several free estimates to us and was very responsive to our questions and concerns. We were very particular in what we wanted so I know it was more difficult than some jobs but they never complained. After he planned the original duct layout in our attic we had to have them change it to give us more useful space for when we plan on finishing the attic. I actually sent them drawings of how I'd like things to be layed out to give us more room and they incorporated those into the design. The work was done well and on time. We had them provide a quote for diagnosing and repairing our old boiler and hot water heating system as well. It had been shut down when the home was vandalized as well. Even though the system was running fine only a month or so before, they wanted to perform several thousand dollars worth of work to it to clean it up and reconnect one short copper pipe that supplies the expansion chamber. When the heating went out we also got a leak in one of our old cast iron radiators. They said it couldn't be repaired so we found some replacement ones and purchased them. To simply swap out the leaking radiator for one of the "new" antique replacements we purchased, we were told would cost over $2,000. When I asked why it was so much I didn't get a reply.

They were on time and on point. They finished work faster than the estimated time. They cleaned up after themselves. I would reccomend them.

I've been doing them for absolutely decades. I have a maintenance plan with them. They're excellent. They're expensive but when you need them, they're here. They do a great job. They just installed real tremendous upgrade on my whole (inaudible 4:20). I've always used Alro. I had my new a/c and furnace put in January, that's when it gave out. They had to do a system check, which was included in my maintenance plan, at the beginning of the cooling season in April or May. They couldn't check the air conditioner in the dead of winter. He was quite a while doing it. They do an excellent job. I really like Alro. I have a maintenance agreement and they come twice a year. It's probably close to $200 a year but I don't know I'm just guessing at that. There would be a charge for any parts, but they will be out; that's the blessing of it. When it's winter and our heat goes out, you're kind of first in line. You kind of bump up in line. That's the beauty of it. They're really, really good. I've never had bad service. I've had everything in my parent's house done with it and in my old house that I sold. I've referred them to everybody. I would say they're expensive but I don't care. I want quality work. I've gone with other people that are cheaper, but then again if it had had to be done again, what have I gained? They solved the problem and I don't know if they're inordinately expensive. I would say that they probably think they're fair. I would never not use them.

After someone stole our next-door neighbor's air conditioner, we decided to protect ours from theft. We own two houses with central air conditioning--we live in one and one of our children lives in the other. Our ranch home has one unit while the son's house has separate units for each of two stories. My wife called several companies to compare prices and Alro gave us the lowest estimate so we went with them. We signed the contract on June 11. Their salesman said it would take a few days because of the backlog and estimated that Alro would install the cages within the week which they did. It looks pretty secure now. We no longer wake up in the morning and check to see if our air conditioner is still there.

They have provided various service over the past 25 years. Various different costs over the years, based on different criteria of jobs. At times of work, the costs were reasonable and competitive for HVAC replacements. Their technicians were very competent and trustworthy. All work done was of the highest quality, competitively priced consistent with their estimates, and on schedule.

I have used them for around 15 years. I have been very pleased with the service. A few years ago our furnace went out and they were able to install a new furnace within a couple of days.

I would give them an "A" across the board. They were responsive, punctual and professional. Their quality was good. Their prices are on the high side, but not unreasonable for what they offer. We thought that it was good enough, and we went ahead and hired them. They cleaned up after themselves. It was still cold outside when we had our furnace changed, there was a situation where we had to change the furnace, we were worried about it being unsafe, so they came in and did the job in one day. We were really happy.

I called Mr. Stein to vent my frustration about the treatment, service and the dishonesty of charging a 300% mark upon a part we may or may not have needed. He proceeded to talk over me and tell me they went out of their way to come out on the weekend and that the service man was a seasoned repairmen who can diagnose a furnace even while not seeing it running. He then spoke eve louder and informed they were going to get their money. According to their website, they are happy to take care of your service needs 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Get ready to be at their mercy if it is the weekend or after hours.
This company is unethical in their practices and the customer most certainly NOT right. I would not refer my worst enemy to this company. I paid them the amount they billed me. Overall, my colleague's husband was able to re-calibrate the part that was making the sound with some WD-40 and tightening a couple screws for $50.00.

It went outstanding. It was freezing cold but the two gentlemen were also courteous and informative and went above and beyond
the call of duty. The job was completed in a timely manner and they went through every aspect of the use of the new system that
was installed.
Also the people who call and keep phone contact with arrival time and updates are super to work with.
I would never have another company handle my Heating and Cooling needs. Yes, they are not the cheapest- but neither
is the quality of product and service and installation. 5 Star.

Alro removed, disposed of and installed the air condition and attachments within record time. The day was hot, however, they instructed me to cool the house over night by setting the thermostat below where I ususally set it. The job was started early in a.m. and by the hottest part of the day the work and clean up had been completed. They were very courteous and instructed me call if there were issues or questions. I was very please with this company and would use the again.

I was not pleased with the company. I put in a request to have for them to clean my boiler a month ahead of time. The day before they called to notify me that they had to reschedule due to a conflict in schedule. Someone did come later that afternoon however, he was not from Alro. I asked the tech to look at a radiator in my upstairs. He informed me that he had to speak with the boss to fix the issue. He quoted me $450. After calling around I was told the most that I would have to pay from other companies would be $125. I will no longer use Alro as I feel that they were trying to take advantage of me.

The service during the summer with the AC in the extreme heat was unbelievable. The first two technicians who came out to diagnose the problem seemed to lack knowledge of the profession. By October of 2011 we had problems with the heating and it was reccommended that we get a new furnace. We have used this company for over 25 years but never again. This was the worst service we have ever received from any company for home repair.

"We have talked to the member and he said he would change the rating to an overall a B rating. He said we did great work on a weekend but thought it should be cheaper. This was after he approved the work and we fixed and he paid for it. Then after it was working he now says it was too much. We strongly disagree. He ask us to come out on a weekend to fix his furnace and we did it with his approval first. I don't get why he rated us so poorly to begin with."
