It didn't go well. The first job took over a month longer than anticipated as other jobs were put before mine. The second job went better as it only took three weeks longer than expected. However, the lower cabinet had a single door, where two doors were specified in the plans and the mirror on the upper door didn't have a wood backing as specified in the plans they drew up. The holes in the doors for the knobs were predrilled for the first job, but not for the second. I called after three weeks and was told someone would come to my home on Monday or Tuesday to install both doors and drill holes for knobs. No one showed up. I called around 4:30 on Wednesday and was told the installer was reminded and would come out that evening. No one showed up.

We hired Cabinets Counters and More to "fix" our cabinets and counters in our new house built by Unique Custom Homes, LLC.  The cabinets were installed incorrectly with different shades of stain, nail holes, and missing crown moulding.  Our granite bar top was cemented to the bar improperly as it was crooked and not trimmed out.  CCM came in and rebuilt our panty, painted our cabinets including antiquing, put on new crown moulding, and reset our granite bar top and trimmed it out.  CCM did a great job with the finishing of the cabinets and counter top.  My only complaint was they were not as punctual as one would have expected--but in the end the fixed our problem cabinets to our liking.

The whole process has left a “muddled” feeling with us. At the beginning we were very impressed with their setup. The design center was everything you would expect; wonderful displays of all the cabinet designs and countertop options. The employees were very nice and helpful. The lady that designed our cabinets was very enthusiast and insightful. She visited our home multiple times to ensure that the measurements were correct. Once the drawings were completed, she was open to our suggestions and needs in what we needed out of our cabinets. The design process was a wonderful experience. I remember the day that the cabinets were delivered. They looked great! Once the cabinets were in the house, they told us that they had some other deliveries and the installation would start the next day at mid morning. On the next day, they showed up late, with no phone call. They asked if they could borrow my air compressor because they left theirs at another site. They left early with the promise of returning the next day on time. This cycle (show up late, leave early) continued for the next 3 days until the cabinets were finally installed. During the “finishing and painting” of the cabinets, the floors in the kitchen were damaged. They denied it was them but they were the only contractor in the kitchen and they were cutting cardboard on the floor with utility knives. They used cardboard to block the areas of the cabinets that do not need paint (interiors). I fairness, I have to say that I did not witness the damage taking place but, again, no one else was in there working. They had “issues” (that is what we were told) with the paint (a new type of paint) and they wanted to make it “right” by us. The problem was that the finish had a rough finish like an orange peel, not smooth like the finish we saw in the showroom. When we asked about it we were told that it was “good enough”. We had to push the issue until they refinished the cabinets to achieve the same finish that was in their showroom. Also, during this phase, they would routinely show up late and leave early. When we did receive a call, it was to ask if we would mind that they would go to another job because they overbooked that time slot. The countertop installation was flawless, and was handled from an outside vendor contracted by Counters Countertops and More. The cabinet installation was scheduled to take 3 to 5 days but ended up taking an entire month. After the installation, we had to call them back out several times to correct various issues related to drawer hardware and finish. The cabinets do look good but the hassle on getting them to that point was exhausting. I do want everyone to know that during the time of the installation, they were short handed which may have contributed to the confusion and missed appointments, however, from a consumer standpoint, they should inform their customers of anticipated delays before they occur and not make excuses over and over again.
