3 VISITS on a 5 yr-old system and called for 4th visit: The first visit I was told nothing wrong with air conditioner - they cleaned & topped off the freon. Paid -approximately $125 - $150? Second visit - I was told nothing was wrong with system - paid $75 (later after speaking to Office Manager Laurie - she refunded me since it was not fixed and stopped a second time. She suggested to give one of her other guys a chance to fix it.) Two weeks ago I paid $80 service call for third visit. The guy told me he had an error code and he just reset the breaker on the outside of the house. He promised that if it stopped working again that he would come immediately to the house and show me how he reset the air conditioner. When it stopped the 4th time - I called for the guy and they told me he was on a site and unavailable today. So, they didn't fix anything - they were just resetting the system. They were very rude on the 4th call - neither Wayne nor Laurie were nice about the situation on the 4th call. The only reason I originally kept going back to this company was because Laurie was very nice and seemed to want to help me until the last call. Perhaps she is stressed out because of the inept employees. I don't know how many times I beat myself up for going with this company. Last visit was on 8/31/21 and it broke down the 4th time 9/10/21 - 11 DAYS LATER Laurie advised me there would be a service charge for 4th visit - I informed her the guy told me that if it stopped again - he would come out and show me how to reset it without a charge. I promised her that if he would do that I would never again call on their company for service. I have beat myself up for going with this company. I should have learned after the first visit. I would suggest that you find more reliable company on fixing the item rather than just resetting the item

Freon was empty and had to be filled and cleaning of AC unit. Payment calculated, discussed & paid in full before he left, aprox $275. No improvement so called them next day. They sent same tech out who advised us we had a leak. He hadn't fixed it they day before, saying it was small & what he had done would get us through the summer. My husband made clear we were not going to pay for freon again because it wasn't fair. The tech said nothing, fixed the leak & replaced freon. He said nothing of cost but we got a bill a few weeks later for $409! Stop leak, labor & freon. Thinking an error and they would apply 1st payment to this amount, I called and explained we should not have to pay more because the tech should have fixed the repair originally. I would pay $409 total but not $409 + $275 already paid. The person on the phone was rude but agreed to take off 1 hour of labor & the freon but tried to tell me they shouldn't have to because they usually don't use stop leak. I don't know about this stuff, that's why I called (what I thought) were professionals. I feel it was very unprofessional to bill me twice in 24 hours for the same service. Obviously not done well 1st visit. Also, very upfront about cost on 1st visit and itemized statement signed & given. No discussion on 2nd visit of cost, other tell han us saying we would not pay for freon again. Bill arrives later, no collection of funds like 1st visit. Very unhelpful. 2 visits in 25 hours to fix same problem, tried to bill me for both. If he had fixed leak on 1st visit, I would have paid $400 then & no need for 2nd visit. Your (techs) mistake, not mine. Sneaky to bill upfront on 1st visit but say nothing on 2nd. Very disappointed.

"The total cost of this repair was only $447.02. There were 2 visits made to this address, but the customer was also advised that there was probably a leak the first visit, but they did not want to pay for pressure testing the system. At customers approval on second visit, stop leak was added. The bill was negotiated due to Freon, but the bill was not paid until 2 months after service call. If there were additional issues, customer should have called before that time frame had been reached."

Got quote the same day I asked for it. Workers were prompt and professional. Cleaned up after installation. Answered all my questions.

Called to make appointment for estimate. Arrived as scheduled and came prepared with brochures, etc. Able to answer my questions. Provided an estimate via email within 24 hours - very responsive via email. I looked at two other companies, and A and M had the best combination of price (they were the lowest bidder) and professionalism. (Albeit I would have been fine going with the other two companies had A and M not been in the running.) The crew arrived as scheduled to install the furnace and A/C. The work took a day and a half. The two fellows who came to do the install were very friendly and did a good job of cleaning up (biggest issue being that they did leave a number of cigarette butts in our driveway).
My main complaint would be the disconnect between what the fellow who came to give the estimate said and the end result. He really talked up the improvements we'd see such as the unit being smaller, there being a cut-off switch, and the A/C unit being up on a cement pad. The unit turned out to actually be slightly LARGER than the 35 year old unit it replaced, I had to specifically ask the installers to install the switch (which they were happy to do, but it was not put on their work order), and the A/C unit is pretty much level with the dirt on a plastic pad. And only an exhaust pipe was installed, as opposed to both and exhaust and intake pipe to the side of the house (which I understand to be the ideal arrangement).
Would I recommend them and use them again? Sure - but the items in the paragraph took A and M from being "AWESOME, wouldn't think of dealing with anyone else" to "they got the job done at a good price, but I'm open to trying other companies."
