WIN HOME INSPECTION- ST CHARLES

Last night I smelled a brunt electrical smell coming from my
basement and immediately turned off everything. I had the Heating and Cooling
guy to my house this afternoon. When he turned on my furnace, sparks started
flying and it started a small fire that we put out. Turns out, the person I
bought the house from, Executive Real
Estate in St. Peter, rigged the breaker switch with duct tape to allow it
to continue to work, but this mean it would fail to switch off in case of an
issue. This is a huge safety issue. My house could have burned down any time in
the last year!!! Plus my inspector WIN Home
Inspections in St. Charles should have noticed the duct tape upon visual
inspection and never passed the house. This is the second issue I have had in
this home with a faulty repair job and a poor inspection. Needless to say I
need a new furnace. Please share this so others are not taken advantage of
like me.

My daughter is a first home buyer and buying a 73 year old home. Mark performed the inspection after the contract was accepted. He did an outstanding job and was very thorough. Mark was excellent. He was very punctual and thorough with the inspection. He climbed on the roof, in the attic, under the sink, and deck, etc. At every step, he made suggestions for improvement or issues to be aware of and was, at the same time, very conscientious, going above and beyond the call of duty to supply information on how to maintain the condition of the home we were buying. I would recommend Mark to anyone looking for a quality home inspector.

Mark was on time, neat in appearance, brought his own tools. Vehicle was logoed and he exhibited the confidence of someone who knew what they were doing. He was careful not to damage gutters when he climbed on the roof and was careful for his safety. He took many photos to show me evidence, or lack of it, of any hail damage. Reported that for its age, it was in great shape, complimented the original installer for the fine flashing work and care in laying the shingles in straight lines. In all, I was pleased with his proficiency though I would have been happier at $100 fee. I look forward to his report via email this evening and will report any issues then.

Mark was professional and thorough. He took his time as he went through the entire house, inside and out. He then walked my husband through the areas of recommended improvement. Within hours we received a professional report via email, which even included a picture of our new house, and two pictures of recommended improvement (under sink, windowsill).

Mark was great. I was able to get hold of him easily and to set up an appointment within a few days. He arrived on time and thoroughly checked the place out, explaining things to me as we went, and giving me tips on how to maintain things. He provided me with a copy of the report before we left the home, and sent a copy to my real estate agent within the next day.

MARK WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EXTREMELY HELPFUL TO ME AS A FIRST TIME HOME BUYER. HIS REPORT WAS THOROUGH AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND. I HAVE RECOMMENDED HIM TO FRIENDS AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO IN THE FUTURE.
