I called Jon and asked if he could remove the basketball pole. He gave me a couple quotes over the phone - 1 for cutting it; 2 for removing the concrete. A day before agreed upon time, Jon called and said he had some availability and we organized an earlier time, which was nice. The installer of the basketball pole used 6/7 bags on cement with steel reenforcement bars. The cement wrapped around the sprinkler line and went under the driveway. Jon had to rent a jackhammer to chip away the concrete, cut the rebar poles, and then fix the sprinkler lines. He stood by his original quote - I gave extra money to at least cover the jackhammer rental cost. We're pleased with Jon's efforts and dedication that we're using him to regrade our yard and work through several 'to do' items around the house.

This was a good experience. First we needed our lawnmower fixed which he had done. We also hired him for the gutters. We were very pleased with his work, showing up on time, finishing the work and even his price that we talked to him about other areas around our yard. When he quoted us for the mulch, rock and mailbox landscaping, he worked with us on price and threw in the drainage pipes, because we had several jobs for him. He came and worked while we were out of town and has been very dependable. Because the edging around our landscaping couldn't be buried enough because of roots, he finished the job by back filling it to hide the edging more. And that was at his recommendation. He seems to want the job to be done right. We are planning on using Jon again in the future. We were very happy with his work and his dependability.

After searching Angie's List in desperation, I called Jon in a panic while my husband was putting up Christmas lights. My husband couldn't string the lights on the peak of our roof because we didn't have a ladder high enough and he didn't feel comfortable going up that high and steep on the roof. It was a warm Saturday and I really wanted to finish the job before the weather turned bad. Jon came right over, finished the job and then my husband had him clean the gutters that we had never cleaned in the 4 years we lived here because they were too high. He did a great job!!! We are going to have him back to take down the lights in January. My husband was mad at me for calling someone and thought it was ridiculous to pay someone to hang our lights, but after he cleaned the gutters he admitted I did something good. Now I don't have to go look for a divorce lawyer after all! :) Thanks Jon!
