We wanted to update old board and batten siding and give our house a new look. Mike was helpful in giving us lots of options and supporting us when we got ideas from online or other houses. As a previous commenter said, Mike was very direct did not play games with the bids or pull any surprises. The materials arrived in a couple weeks and work started soon after. The crew was excellent and a pleasure to work with; they kept the work area as clean as was practical. This was a large project using vertical vinyl above a partial brick wall on three sides. The soffits were open but now are enclosed with vinyl. We wanted an "Italian Villa" look for the walkout basement side and used the faux stone and stucco-finish fiber board. The final touch was vinyl millwork with keystone headers around the windows. This was successful in making the two-story portion of the house look very impressive. The work has been through four seasons and still looks brand new. We have not had to call them back for warrantee work yet.

"We installed two skylights for the member. We came to her home last year with the Velux representative. We both agreed at that time the skylights were installed correctly and the problem was condensation in the home. We, however re painted her interior at that time, to keep her happy. Recently I went back to her home from a new complaint by her mother. She feels the skylights are leaking because there is water on the interior drywall. I went to her furnace and turned the humidifier from 65% to 30% where it should be. The 65% humidity level was causing hot wet air to build inside the skylight well, and form water droplets. These then ran down the skylight to the wall. I believe I have fixed the problem. The skylights are not leaking. If the skylights were leaking, there would be water all over the walls and the drywall would be falling out. This is just condensation building up from too much moisture in the air. By the way it also only happens in the winter when the heat is on, and it is very cold outside. I have been talking to the member's mother recently. I have asked for the member to call me back but she has not. We are happy to always take care of any problems our customers have. I personally, went to their home each time to satisfy her requests Sincerely, Michael Spector President St. Charles Exteriors, Inc."
