Pur Performance Center

After hearing about Pur Performance through the radio, my family and I decided to give them a shot on some work we wanted done to our cars. We had them install a new set of wheels and tires on my wife's SUV. The install was fairly fast and I thought reasonable; but after we brought the car home we started noticing issues with the way the car drove. The steering never felt the same on her car and the pressure gauge eventually broke inside the tire. They fixed the problem for free, but it happened again a couple weeks later. We decided just to deal with the poor performance. Later I wanted to give them another shot so I had them install a bed liner and tonneau cover on my truck. Again the pricing and install seemed reasonable. The bed liner has been wonderful; however, I have never been completely satisfied with the bed cover. It seems to operate "ok", but the rubber rails where the cover meets the sides of my truck have always had bubbles. I notice bed covers on other trucks and they all appear seamless so it makes me wonder how well they installed the cover on my truck. The last thing I had them install was a new exhaust on my truck. It has only been a couple months, but it appears to be working just fine. All in all, I have had a couple bad experiences with them and a couple good. Every time I have worked with them, they have always seemed to be polite and honest. They seem to maybe excel with race cars more than people's every day cars because their bays always seem full but with drag-type cars. Even though I am 2 for 4 with them, I can't seem to bring myself to recommend them to other people needing typical auto service.

I have used performance before for my race car and other vehicles. I am always happy with the outcome. This is truly a one-stop shop for everything with a courteous and knowledgeable staff. I will be a customer for life!

I waited in their shop for the work to be done. After an hour had passed by, I went up to the counter and asked the employee if the work was about done. He replied "we have you booked for 3 hours - this stuff takes time". I asked to see the mechanic who was doing the work, and he directed me back to the shop. I learned that the mechanic only had to do 3 simple steps: 1) loosen the grill so he could work in front of the radiator, 2) bolt the horns to the front of the radiator, and 3) wire them to the existing horns. Any competent mechanic could have done this in 45 min. or less. But when they were finally finished, it was over 2 hours of work at $85/hr. It was obvious to me, that they were milking this job by doing it as slowly as possible. I will NEVER go back there again.
