Positive Paws Pet Training

I wish I would have thought to write a review sooner! We reached out to Kim Gracner after a traumatic event caused some misbehaviors with our dog. Kim and I spoke in detail by phone and I told her what we would NOT be able to do. She basically ignored me. She prints out some training notes she cut and pasted from online somewhere and she shows up to your house. She then schedules meetings with you and your dog-which we didn't have time for and explained that way in advance-we were looking for someone to train the dog and she called herself a "behaviorist." VERY misleading. She then did not make the last two visits she scheduled with us-"no call, no show.' When I tried to reach out to her, she just kept repeating what she said previously and never offered to fix anything or fulfill her contract and refused even a partial refund. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

We can’t say enough good things about Kim and Positive Paws Pet Training! We initially worked with Kim and her team on puppy and intermediate training with our dog, Harry, after we brought him home from the shelter. They helped us teach him basic commands and good manners – and just as important, they taught us how to be consistent in our approach with Harry to get the best results. Months later, Harry started expressing barrier aggression when he encountered dogs on the other side of a fence or kennel. We were worried this might be the end of doggie day camp sessions and boarding for our normally social pup, but Kim helped us understand Harry’s reaction and created a training plan to treat it. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner to help Harry. Kim was willing to work with our hectic schedule, checked in with us between training sessions to assess Harry’s progress, and even partnered with our day camp provider to help transition Harry back into camp sessions. Thanks to Kim, Harry is successfully back at camp with his puppy friends and doing great!

She is really good. The minute she walked in the door, the dog was behaving better. The dog didn't turn out so great but that was our fault, not hers. She had a good connection with the dog.
