They are extremely good. They spray and if there are ants in the kitchen and they just come back out and spray; they don't say "well did you leave food out", they just do come spray. I ask them to do extra and they do it. They spray my bushes, because I get spider mites. I ask them and they just do it with no problem.

I had structural damage caused by termites, and had the termite infestation controlled by another exterminator. I selected McCarthy because they had direct experience in repairing structural damage caused by termites in addition to their main exterminating business. Because this is a side-line to their main business (and because this was not an emergency) the repair was set up for a few weeks after I received their quote. They were prompt and professional. The wall area was supported by a jack during the repair. The entire job was done in less than four hours, including a trip to obtain additional materials necessitated by the way the framing was attached to the garage foundation in my early-1980’s house. They cleaned up the work area and hauled away the debris. I was quite pleased with the work and found their quote to be in line with my expectations for this level of structural repair. Based on their termite experience, they were also able to clearly identify what parts of the garage framing had structural damage and what parts did not.

They are reliable and effective. No complaints. They could always come down on the price but they are doing just fine. They leave the area the same as they left.

I called them to perform a termite inspection because I have a couple of outside beams that are rotting and wanted to make sure it was or wasn't due to termites.  When I made the appointment with a bubbly, professional young woman, it was made for my convenience and within a two hour window.  The day before the young lady called to remind me of the appointment.
Bob, the inspector, arrived right on time.  He was clean, professional, and most of all, honest!!!  The beams did not have termites or any other pests. He could have told me they did and I wouldn't have known the difference.
I asked him about two different wasp nests.  One he informed me were docile and wouldn't hurt me so just leave them alone.  The other he said, would grow during the summer and needed to be eliminated because the larger the nest became, the more hostile the wasp would become.  Rather than come back another time he offered to take care of them immediately which he did. 
 I won't say what I was charged because some other person's problems could cost more or less to eliminate.  Just reassure, I would recommend them to anyone who asks.

Great! I held off on a review for a couple of months to get a full feel for how it went. These ants are gone, the visible presence of spiders is almost non-existent, and overall I am very pleased.

They suggested I do bi-monthly treatments; which I decided to pass on.

The technician, Greg, was on time and very friendly. He confirmed the service and asked what kinds of pests we had been seeing, then got right to work on the basement, then the upstairs and then the exterior. It took him less than half an hour to complete the work. He answered all my questions and was very nice and professional.

They're really good local pest control company which we like. What stood out was their thoroughness and their good ability to explain the service, it was pretty remarkable.

Have used McCarthy the past 11 months after finding a brown recluse in our house. The number of insects/spiders has been dramatically reduced and I couldn't be happier. Noticed ants on my deck columns. Called McCarthy to come out to spray. They did that and I am sorry to be leaving this review so late after the service. But felt they could use another good report. Spraying was given with a 90 day guarantee. It has now been over 150 days and no sign of any ants. Technician was professional and knowledgeable in this field of service. Also did a spray inside to prevent them from coming in. All this for $99 with a $10 discount. Very pleased with McCarthy Pest Control.

McCarthy technicians are always very professional and prompt. The office staff is always pleasant and ready to help you with any issue. They return messages immediately and typically work you into the schedule within 24 hours. They guarantee their services and do not question if you call them back if you see any bugs. I currently had to request them to come out twice to spray for ants because the weather has not cooperated and rains shortly after they spray. They didn't hesitate to come out the next day.

They were prompt, courteous, and fixed the problem within one day. They offered to return in a couple of weeks to ensure that the yellow jackets are gone.

When I called to make an appointment, Debbie (I think) was very helpful, knew answers to all my questions as I asked them, and presented a few options for us. She shared pricing upfront, which I appreciated. The office called with a reminder the day before as well, very helpful. Today, John arrived right in the middle of the 2-hour window given. He began by asking again what I was needing. Even though he had a printed sheet with info I'd shared during that first phone call. I appreciated this, in that it made sure he was doing what actually needed to be done, as stated from me at that point in time. I explained our concerns (loud noises over our bedroom periodically, neighbor stating he'd seen a raccoon climbing under the eaves/over our covered deck, recent mouse issue out of nowhere) showed him the areas I referred to, and he set about inspecting all the places. He climbed up in the attic and gave us a great report that there was no evidence of anything up there at all, which was very comforting. Then we went out in the back yard to see the small opening where our neighbor had seen a raccoon enter a few times over the past couple of years. He checked it out and explained what might be happening, but also told me how that cavity wasn't open to the attic or the interior of the house, so we were probably just hearing them on on the metal roof over the deck. We talked about ways to close the opening. He offered great input on ideas about trapping if we wanted to try it ourselves, and he explained their process thoroughly along with pricing so we could know what it would look like if we had them follow-up.

Regarding the mouse issue, we'd trapped 5 in the last several weeks, which had never happened before in 4 years. I explained that my priority was finding out how they were getting in. He examined the garage and showed a few places where they had created holes in the drywall. He explained how we might go about closing those access points, but he said there was no evidence on the main floor or in the attic that they'd been there. (The basement drop ceiling did show evidence and quite a bit of it, though some of that is related to the previous owners.) His tips and simple education about the habits mice have were really helpful.

All this was done in about 30 minutes or so. Concise, but thorough, exactly how I'd hoped. I will definitely call them back for further service if the need arises.

I would give them an A. My husband is happy with the price. The quality of work is fine. They spray for bugs, and we don't have any bugs.

They got rid of the termites quickly and I haven't had any problems with them. My termites never came back. Their punctuality was really good.
