Mike initially came over to my home on Tuesday, October 16, to check out my appliances. He first inspected a refrigerator/freezer issue, in which the freezer was getting too cold while the refrigerator was too warm over a couple of days, and then later the freezer leaked a good amount of water but the refrigerator/freezer began working normal, again. Mike spent about 45 minutes taking apart the freezer compartment to access the back panel, which he removed. We found evidence that the unit had frozen up, but it was now running fine. Mike checked out the unit thoroughly and explained to me what he was doing and why, which I much appreciated. During our discussion, it was revealed that a family member had left the freezer door ajar for several hours one day not long ago, which is the very likely cause of why the unit later froze up and caused the symptoms we were seeing. Though the unit appeared to be fine now, Mike checked everything out to make sure there were no other issues and the refrigerator/freezer was in good working order, which was the case. For all of his inspection work, I was only charged $35.00. For the washing machine, Mike checked out its overall operation, too. Because the symptoms we were stating to see (an LF code in the past week, the detergent and fabric softener dispensers having a lot of residue in them) were consistent with what we experienced 4 years ago (and 3 years before then), the issue was due, again, to the unit's water valve not working properly. As it turned out, Keeven Appliance and specifically Mike replaced the water valve, which seems to only be good for every 3-4 years since we bought the unit, 4 years ago on this unit. Because Mike didn't have the part in stock, he had it ordered. The part came in 2-days later, and I was able to get Mike back out the next day (Friday, October 19th) to swap out the water valve. Mike is a really nice person who knows his appliance repair business, and he was very friendly and willing to answer all of my questions.

Approximately 2 months ago, we began having a problem with
our double ovens and came across Keeven Appliances Company on Angie's List named as a
reputable appliance repair company. We decided to give Keeven Appliance a call.
On June 26, 2015 a repairman from Keeven came out to my house to diagnose the
problem. I informed him that the digital read out had gone blank several times
rendering the ovens inoperable during the times of these occurrences. The
display would go away for long periods of time, occasionally flashing the codes
"F2" and "E6", only to mysteriously begin working again at
random for extended periods of time. The repairman took the oven panel apart
and removed 2 parts from what I'll refer to as the "mother board",
examined them, decided they needed to be replaced, and put them back in until
he could return with replacement parts. I paid him $92 at the time for the
service call which included a surcharge of $39 for the additional time he
anticipated it would take for him to work with my warranty company. This
additional charge was later deducted from the final charge as I ended up being
the one coordinating with the warranty company.
 After returning to
his office to check the availability of the parts from the Whirlpool factory,
the repairman called me back to inform me that they were available but had to
be ordered and would take several days to arrive. The parts were:#w10438750
($280) and #w10161676 ($163). Meanwhile, as I waited for the parts to arrive,
the oven began working again sporadically. When the parts came in we
rescheduled the repairman to return to install them. On July 8, he arrived with
the new parts. Upon his arrival I informed him that the oven was currently
working but had again been operating sporadically as before. He went ahead and
replaced the aforementioned parts and I was charged an additional $751 in
parts, labor and shipping cost. Over $300 of this charge was labor cost!!!
The oven worked fine for about a month until the evening of
August 7, 2015, when I heard some beeping and other "electronic"
sounds coming from the oven panel. I went into the kitchen to discover the
panel was no longer lit up and the oven would not come on. On the morning of
August 8, I called Keeven Appliance and reported the problem. They scheduled a
repairman to come out the morning of August 10. I spoke with the repairman by
phone prior to his arrival and informed him of the most recent problem. The
same repairman as before arrived at about 7:45am. He took the oven apart and
discovered that a part called the transformer was not working properly. He
removed the part, tested it and said he would have to return to the office and
check on the part's availability. He left the oven dismantled and took the part with him.
 A short time later he
called me and informed me that the part was available but would cost an
additional $260. If you're keeping track we are now up to a whopping $1,103 to
repair a less than ten-year-old oven! Which brings me to my current frustration and
quandary: I am frustrated because I believe the problem with my oven  was probably misdiagnosed in the first place - could it have been the transformer all
alone, a $260 part instead of the two more expensive parts? What are the
chances that the two "mother board" parts AND the transformer would
all go out at virtually the same time?
 My quandary is this:
do I sink this additional money into this 10-year-old oven (possibly throwing
good money after bad) when the repairman himself told me there was "no
guarantee" this would solve my problem. What in fact is the problem? I
sure wish it could have been determined much sooner and less expensively. Now
we are again without an oven and wondering what to do. On August 14, 2015, a repairman from Convenient Appliance Repair came to our home and repaired our oven for $168.97 - almost $100 less than what Keeven Appliance quoted me for the same work. He was friendly, and efficient. I still have not heard back from Keeven regarding the return of my old part.

My dishwaser was not performing up to par.  Scott quickly determined that it was clogged with detergent and hard water deposits.  He cleaned up the filter and instructed me to run it with vinegar for several cycles.  That helped some, but it didn't solve the problem completely.  A new filter was ordered, and when Scott came to install it, he descovered more detergent scale below the filter.  He meticulously cleaned it out and installed the new filter.  The dishwasher's performance improved dramatically, but the middle spray arm was still not spinning.  Scott contacted GE and they instructed him to have me obtain and use some LemiShine to remove detergent and hardwater build up from the motor.  Scott wisely recommended this treatment, because the only alternative is a new motor which I'm not interested in purchasing for a 9 year old appliance.  Hopefully this will work.  Neither Scott nor I had heard of LemiShine, but I was able to find it readily.  He asked me to let him know if it works, so he can recommend it to his other customers.

Was a great experience. Scott, the repairman called before coming. Showed up when he said he would and was very nice and knowledgeable. He found the problems right away and fixed them right then and there. I would definitely call on Keevan appliance again!

The experience was a good one.  The repairman noticed that a circuit board was out.  At first we weren't going to fix it because of the price, but then changed our minds.  He ordered it and came out as soon as the board came in.  Experience with the office and repairman was professional, friendly and helpful.

They did the work they said they were going to do but now my dishwasher leaks. I don't know if it is something to do with what they did or it is another repair with the dishwasher that I need.

Appointment was for the morning. The service person called before arriving shortly before 7:00am. The broiler was out on my electric stove (5 years old). After testing the elements and circuits, he determined that the cause was a bad broiler element and not the controls. He stated that the element had to be ordered and would call when the part arrived to arrange for installation and repair. He estimated 3 or 4 days to get for the part to get in. Estimated cost of repair $225 for which a $100 deposit was required to cover service charge and place order for part. His parting advice was not to use either the broiler or oven until the repair was completed do to a chance of a short occurring. Called 3 days later and said part was in and set up time to install. Once again called before arriving at 7:00am. Scott installed new part and had the broiler working within 15 minutes of arriving. Part cost less than the expected. A very friendly and responsive repair person.

Although I was just interested in preventative maintenance, the technician pointed out two potential areas on my washer that, had they failed, would have caused either massive water damage or a more costly repair to my washing machine motor. So, while the total bill was a bit more than I initially anticipated for just a general maintenance call, in the long run he was able to save me from a potentially higher cost in terms of time and money.

The office answered the phone right away and scheduled the tech for 2 business days after I called. On the day of the appointment the tech called first thing in the morning to let us know we were the 3rd appointment. He then called to let us know he was on the way and arrived about 10:30. Within 30 minutes he diagnosed the problem with each appliance. The tech called the office, ordered the part for the range (the dishwasher made more sense to replace) and told us to expect the part in 2 days. The part came in on time and the same tech came out first thing in the morning to install it. The tech was very professional on each visit.

Called early in morning and was presently surprised to find they could come right away. Service man arrived promptly and diagnosed the problem. My husband, who has alzheimer's, had turned off the cold water faucet. Who knows why? Moving on to the dryer he replaced a belt and gave it a good cleaning. What I appreciated was the kindness he showed to my husband as he looked on. I would definitely call them again.

Excellent service! Dishwasher quit working in the middle of a cleaning cycle. Reset circuit breaker to no avail. Dishwasher would not restart, no humming, nothing. Keeven's service technician (Scott) found problem and provided cost estimate of repair and labor before beginning work. Cost was very reasonable. Dishwasher was repaired, tested, and put back into service in very little time (one hour). Excellent, friendly and courteous service. Keeven Appliance is highly recommended.

My refrigerator had been making some strange noises off and on for a couple of weeks. The day before Thanksgiving I noticed the freezer wasn't cold anymore!!! OMG!!! While I rounded up coolers from the neighbors I began searching for repairmen. That's when I decided to join Angie's List at the recommendation of a friend. Keeven Appliance was listed with good scores so I gave them a call. I was told that no one was available that day but someone could get to me the day after Thanksgiving. I made the appointment. The serviceman was here on time. He was knowledgeable, did excellent work and even cleaned up after himself. I was extremely pleased and would highly recommend Keeven Appliance. As a matter of fact, at my recommendation, my neighbor has used them for refrigerator problems as well.

Overall, the experience was good. The serviceman found a bad kink in the ice maker water line, so he also replaced this for an additional $50. It could have caused a bad water damage issue in the near future.

My refrigerator "died" the day before Thanksgiving - NIGHTMARE! Keeven Appliance answered their phone immediately, told me they were booked for the day and couldn't get to me until the day after Thanksgiving but they would put me on the list for a cancellation that Wednesday if one came up. Unfortunately no one cancelled on Wednesday. My appt time was for mid afternoon Friday but the repairman called before noon and was at my house within 15 minutes! The job was completed and my refrigerator was working perfectly within 40 minutes. The repairman was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and even cleaned up his work area. I would definitely call Keeven Appliance again. I highly recommend them for appliance repair.

They did a good job fixing our machine. We are very pleased with their work. They did have a pretty steep price this time and we should have just bought a new machine but they did do a good job. I would recommend them and use them again.
