This vet was fine until we had an emergency and my puppy needed activated charcoal to vomit. The time was 5:20 and my vet, this one, didn't want to do it to see (save) my dogs life because they closed at 6:30. I was shocked that they didn't want to be bothered seeing a patient because they could still be vomiting up poison when it was quitting time. I am very disappointed!!!

Dr. Watkins from Harvester Animal Clinic and their staff, has provided medical services for my dog Buddy for the last 13 years. Every office visit has been very professional, extremely thorough, and was handled with the such thoughfulness. It is quite evident of how much they care about their furry little patients! They realize that pets are a member of your family and are certainly treated as such. It is so apparent that Dr. Watkin's passion for animals is what makes her an outstanding veterinarian! In the last 7 months, Buddy has been treated for congestive heart failure. Dr. Watkins and staff have always gone above and beyond in caring for Buddy during the difficult times. We recently had to let go of Buddy in our collaborative effort to give him a good quality of life. I believe it was the best life, with the help of Dr. Watkins and staff. It means so much!! I cannot thank them enough!

I really liked them. I have never had a Vet in my life call me on a Saturday evening and let me know what the results of my cat's tests were. She and her staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I will definitely be using them in the future.

They are extremely friendly and very attentive to the needs of the dog. They are at a convenient location and it is easy to get an appointment. They are great people.

We've used Harvester Animal Clinic for about 8 years and cannot say enough good things about them. The entire staff is wonderful and caring and makes us feel like our dog is the most important pet they've seen. Our dog is always greeted by name as soon as we walk in and is loved on by several staff members before we leave. I always feel like we get the best possible care for our dog at a very reasonable price.

The visit went very well. We waited in the examination room a bit, but not too long. My dog is usually very calm going to the vet, but this time he was very antsy. Dr. Watkins explained that they'd had several emergencies earlier and the frenetic energy of the office might be affecting his behavior. I was pleased with the amount of time that Dr. Watkins took to get to know us and to put a plan in place to manage my dog's allergies/skin condition. We've just moved to MO from TX and two neighbors recommended the office. Good recommendation! I'm hoping that my dog calms down a bit in the next couple of visits. I'll report again in a few months.

Everyone was was very nice and professional and friendly. I was able to get an appointment quickly. They were not in a hurry to get me in and out they took their time to talk to me about each pet. One needed to loose weight and we talked at length at how to best do that. Will use them again and recommend them to my friends,

I took a friend of mine and her cat to see Dr. Anita Watkins. My friend was in the process of relocating to the DC area from Boston. My friend, who still has a home in St. Louis adopted a kitten during her employment in Boston and wanted her cat to be spayed prior to transferring the cat to DC with her. Her cat of 8 months had seen two veterinarians in the Boston area for shots and physicals. She had conflicting reports that the cat might have a heart condition. My friend wanted a third opinion and if the cat was physically able, she wanted to have her spayed. She asked for my help and I knew the only person I would recommend would be Dr. Watkins, who had taken care of my pets for 16 years. Dr. Watkins is very caring and compassionate. She spent a good deal of time with the physical exam. She is thorough and took the time to explain the results at each step. I was more than impressed during the years of her caring for my pets that she’d call to explain the test results and spend time on the phone consoling me if the news was bad. She’s a special person. I wish she could be my primary care physician.

The news wasn’t good for my friend’s cat. Dr. Watkins did an exceptional job. She did hear a heart murmur and suggested an ultra sound, through a specialist, that determined that the cat was born with two heart defects. An operation wasn’t possible; neither was the spaying. Keeping her on medication will help but kitty will probably have a limited life. I appreciated that Dr. Watkins took the time so that my friend understands what’s ahead for her and the cat. They both appreciated her attention.

I have been going there for years. They are fair, but within the range of any other services; they are competitive. I like their vets, I like the staff, and they have gone out of their way for me. So, I would keep going back there. They are very good with my pets. I am lucky getting them and I am very pleased with them.

They were very friendly in the office and on time. The doctor was very helpful and suggested more than one way to go about treating the hair loss issue so we could find a way that worked best for us.

I am very happy with them. I honestly never had bad service there. They are a small practice and they take care of their folks. I have been using them for more than 25 years.

We brought two cats for care and one doesn't like going to the vet. Dr watkins noticed that one of my cats was very scared so she sprayed felinway all over the room and herself and assistant and for the first time Muffin was very calm and purring during the check-up. Dr Watkins is also thorough and explains things well and provides printed material when needed. Her support staff works well with the animals and is also very caring.

We have had five dogs since we have seen them, and our dogs have received the absolute best care in the area. I could not say enough about the veterinarian. If your dog has a problem, she will research it after hours and call to completely inform you on what she has found. It is an education every time you go there, and they are outstanding and compassionate. Their prices are on the high side, but it is absolutely worth it for the high quality of care.

I really trust Anita's ability to care for my animals. I've gone to Harvester Animal Clinic for 30 years for all of my animals The staff is always extremely friendly and professional. They always bend over backwards to help you out with any problems you have. They are also extremely compassionate.

This is my regular pet care provider. I like them because they come from Columbia University and are up to date on the latest technology and medications in the veterinary field. I also like the fact that I never have to wait more than five minutes to be seen. The technicians are great as well and the staff always calls back the next day with any test results. I have heard that there are places that charge less but I really like the quality care for my four pets.

The doctor is knowledgeable and professional. He lets you go inside with your dog to the examination room. He really knows what he is doing.

They are very professional. They gave me an appointment pretty quickly. Their staff is very friendly. He gets upset because we don t play with him. We got him a friend and now he's doing all better. Persian cats need special care. They are very knowledgeable.
