Greenside Lawncare

One of the worst companies I have had the displeasure of hiring. I didn't realize that mowing and trimming was so difficult. Yard barely cut, trimming almost non-existent. I had surgery recently and cannot cut lawn myself for awhile. I complained to the owner, John. Asked him to please lower blade and trim around my edging around my house. Next cut, they came a day late. I called John. He had me listed for a bi-weekly cut. Unbelievable. Lawn literally could have been mowed and trimmed again the very next day. I had to sign a contract with them. I have cancelled it. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Very shoddy work, and very unprofessional. Maria Huston

I purchased a buy 3 get 1 free lawn mowing service including trim.  After waiting a week after the purchase on Angie's List I attempted to call the provider.  After 3 voice mails I finally received a call back.  We set up 4 dates for the lawn mowing service for 4 consecutive Thursdays.  The initial mowing was on time and the next 2 were completely random with one a Saturday and the other on a Tuesday.  I can't recall if there was a 4th mowing since winter came in early.
The actual mowing result was barely acceptable.  It was rather choppy and uneven.  However, they did the trim and used a blower to get rid of the clippings off the pavement.
There was no call or update to the change in times and days.  There was also not a notice that they were starting or stopping the mowing.  They would just show up, start mowing, and leave.  Usually they were done within 45 minutes for a 1/2 acre yard.

After some initial confusion about the address where the work was to be performed, John did a very fine job on my lawn.

They were behind schedule a couple of times, but it could have been due to rain or something I don't know. I did have to call one time to make sure they were coming bc my lawn was super high. But they did a good job cutting, looked nice.

My husband is deployed right now and he has taken care of all of this for me. He calls to check on me whenever he can and makes sure my yard stays looking nice. He definitely goes above and beyond and has been wonderful. They have great service and great prices. I don't recall the exact price. He definitely takes care of military families and takes a lot of stress off.

Today, we needed our drive cleaned due to about a foot of heavy snow.  John came and shoveled it out so we could get the car out.  This is the second time this winter we've needed it done.  We have the longest drive in the subdivision, I'm 78 so doing it myself isn't much of an option.  
In addition, John has taken care of my lawn mowing for the last couple of years.   He mows, trims and blows the drive and patio clean.  The work is always done right.  He has also done a good deal of planting for me in a patio 'hosta' garden, which now includes a couple of trees and several knockout roses he planted for me last year.  He has also 'mulched' several areas for me.  We've always been pleased with the job he's done.  I'm planning on him taking care of my lawn again this summer. 

We got 10 inches of snow, so I called Greenside to have to taken care of.
Their plow broke because of the heavy snow, so John himself came to my home & shoveled the long driveway by hand!!!
I don't think another company would have shoveled it by hand!

I asked if my home was the only one he was shoveling by hand, and John said he would be working all day!!

Hired Greenside to complete a lawn aeration through a recent Groupon offer.  It took approximately 3 weeks and around a dozen phone calls to schedule the service, as their office phone was never answered.  Repeated voicemail messages went unanswered.  When I finally reached someone at Greenside, the response was courteous and I was told the service would be completed that same week, and I would receive email confirmation. 

The email confirmation came a week later.  The service date came and went and Greenside was a no-show, with no contact to explain the absence.  When they did finally arrive two days later, the technician simply showed up and completed the aeration without contacting us.  He did not let us know he had arrived, and he did not let us know when he was finished (we were home at the time). 

I had also requested that Greenside overseed and fertilize the lawn after aerating.  This was not done, nor did I get any contact (phone or email) explaining why it was not done. 

In the end, the aeration itself was completed and done well.  However, due to the poor communication and response from the company, I have no desire to use them again in the future.

John was prompt, polite, and efficient.  I highly recommend his services.  I have had other lawn care providers,
which I have not been happy with, so this was a pleasant change.

They are very good. The owner is very honest and seems to have good hardworking workers. I can call him at any time if I need an extra cut or if I don?t need a cut. Their availability and communication are good. The last time around, I paid $35 for my cuttings. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.
