Outstanding work! The new roof is beautiful. The work was completed in one day and their clean-up was immaculate. I will be hiring them to replace my siding.

The service went well. They completed the projected in phases. The owner, Curt, met with us several time to help us to decide what singles, gutters and fascia we wanted. The materials were not what he typically uses, but he was happy to meet our needs. The pricing was not the lowest bid, but I believe we got the best deal from all of the companies we got estimates from. A crew of about 11 technicians came out and completed the job in about 1 week. Everything was great from the sales call to the completion of the job.
Curt, the owner of GCC, makes his own sales calls. The issues and options with my roof were explained to me in great detail. I felt comfortable with our decisions and very pleased with the work. The roof was replaced under an insurance claim. When the GCC estimate was matched to the insurance estimate it was spot on.
The crew arrived promptly and finished quickly. The clean up was complete. Curt (owner) did his own personal pass of the area after the crew had completed to ensure nothing was overlooked.

The work with GCC Roofing and Exteriors turned out great.

They were pretty good and professional. Their pricing was very reasonable. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that they said the job will be done by two weeks but it actually took them two months. The workmen didn't really clean up really well, and they didn't close the gate when they left.

Overall it went fantastic. Mr. Turner was prompt in answering my questions, returning my calls and was alwyas in communication with me. The date of the repair, the crew showed up early (7 AM) to start setting up. Mr. Turner arrived at 8:00am as I left for work. When I returned, the roof was finished, the area was spotless clean and Mr. Turner was there, on the roof, inspecting the work.
Two weeks later when I asked for the Skylight warranty and specification sheet, he was prompt to answer my request and supplied everything I requested. The roof is beautiful, it was installed correctly and I very very glad GCC roofing convinced me to replace the skylights at the same time (they were 25 years old).

This review is very, very belated - which is not good because the work was excellent and I should have written it right away. Actually the work completed at my house by GCC Roofing was beyond excellent. I met Curt the day after a terrible hail storm in my neighborhood. He was giving an estimate to a friend of his who lives across the street from me, and when I asked him to also look at my roof he made time to do it right then. I had a lot of damage, live alone, and was pretty overwhelmed. I was thankful and appreciative that he was willing to talk with me that day.
Even though I pretty much knew I would choose his company, I made myself get two additional bids for comparison sake. What I ended up comparing wasn't so much the prices, but the people I spoke with. I felt Curt was honest and sincere, telling me what it would involve to have a quality job done at my home. He didn't just say what he thought I wanted to hear or offer an extremely low price to get the business. His price was very fair, and it was easy to make the final decision.
From the beginning he took time with me to make sure I understood what needed to be done and what my options were. I had never done this before, and had difficulty making some of the decisions, which resulted in me changing my mind about things a few times. He was patient and understanding, and helped me work through what I needed to decide. When the time came for the roof to be replaced, he was present both at the beginning and at the end of the day. His fnal inspection involved getting on my roof and taking a very long time walking all over it to check the work. His employees started early in the day and finished the work that day as promised, they were pleasant and worked hard, and the yard was cleaned up with care. I was extremely pleased both with the way the day went and the way the house looked afterwards.
Curt was also very helpful with handling all the insurance paperwork and discussions. They lost the paperwork he had faxed them, which resulted in a substantial delay in their settlement with me. He was once again patient while I worked this out with them.

This summer was not easy one for roofing companies, or homeowners. In spite of such an unusual summer, he always handled everything in a very professional way and that was reassuring. The quality of the work could not be any better. This was one time I was in the right place at the right time, and I am happy that I was able to meet and work with him and his company.

He is phenomenal. He will teach you more about roofing during his estimate than you ever thought was possible. His crew cleaned up after themselves and always arrived on time. Curt, the owner, comes back to personally inspect it to make sure everything is going well. He comes back and inspects the clean up at the end too. The crew worked nonstop. They were wonderful and very professional and very polite. They have great attention to detail.

LIBERTY MUTUAL GAVE HIM A LOT OF TROUBLE. WANTED HIM TO CUT CORNERS. HE WOULDN'T DO IT. AFTER IT WAS ALL OVER, I CANCELED LIBERTY MUTUAL iT TOOK FROM APRIL TO AUGUST TO GET LM TO APPROVE HIS ESTIMATE. DIDN'T BELIEVE THERE WERE 9 VALLEYS ON THE ROOF, HE CLIMBED ON THE ROOF AND TOOK PICTURES OF THEM. LM LOST BOTH MY HOME INSURANCE AND AUTO.

As I made contact with them, I was careful to let each person in the company know that I found them on Angie's list, and this seemed to make a positive impression. I called Friday afternoon and they came out on Monday in spite of a current backlog of work due to recent hailstorm damage to many roofs in the community. They came out promptly and made repairs etc. on the spot. The heat was blistering that day, and their attitude remained pleasant and professional as they climbed up and down the ladders carrying tools and supplies. I will certainly hire them again when we decide to replace the gutters and/or the roof.

The overall project went good. The GCC crew stayed until the job was completed as well as the cleanup. They worked right up until dark to finish the roof. There was a delay due the delivery of the shingles from the supplier, which was out of Curt's control.Would use again and have told others about GCC.

Curt was very helpful thru the entire process. We had been in contact with him for awhile before we actually had the work done. When it was finally time to start, they were immediately available. It only took the team half a day to put on a new roof (small house) and another full day for the gutters to be installed. Everything looks absolutely great and Curt could not have been easier to work with. Curt and his time have done work for people in our family and I speak for them when I say all of our experiences have been wonderful.

The owner came and did an inspection and said the job would cost $500 and then after they removed all the shingles said it would cost approx. $1200 - bc tresses were damaged - there were many missing shingles at the original inspection where the tresses could be viewed, we feel that they did not do a thorough investigation when giving the estimate for the work and the price doubled after they had removed all the shingles and it was supposed to rain the next day so we had no choice but to get the work done. they should have been able to provide a more accurate estimate when coming to view the rood the first time and done a more thorough job of investigating the needs of the roof.

Talked to several roofing companies and GCC was highly recommended by a co-worker. I am a research kind of person, so I wanted to know what was going to be put on my roof and how it would be installed. I met with Curt Turner one evening and it was appearant he knew the industry. He took the time to go over the process how the roof gets installed and the materials they use. He took the time to explain how the other "storm chasers" cut corners to save money... none of which he does. When we were discussing the installation of ridge vents Curt actually went up into my attic to take a look to be sure of the placement of the vents. No other contractor I talked to seemed to go that extra mile. He went to bat with my insurance company to get more funds because he needed a bit more material to do the job right. His crew came out and got the job done in one day. I was impressed to see that Curt came out to get the crew started and came back when it was done to make sure there was nothing amiss. I felt very comforatble working with Curt. He responded to me emails and calls in a timely manner. I feel confident he will be there with any issues that may come up in the future, but I'm sure there will not be any. I can't speak highly enough for GCC.

I called and spoke with Curt Turner, and scheduled a time for him to come inspect the roof. He arrived exactly when he said he would, completely professional.

He climbed the roof, and carefully inspected the skylight and other roof openings, as well as the overall condition of the shingles. Curt identified the furnace flue flashing as a likely source of the leak. Curt was able to make the repair to that area. (He also identified some shingles on the roof that needed to be glued down, and took care of that as well.)

Curt promised that if the repair did not fix the leak, I could call him, and he would be back to inspect the roof from the underside (from inside the attic) to be able to more accurately identify the area(s) that were leaking. (I haven't needed to call him back because the roof leak seems to be fixed.)

Curt was very knowledgeable, and willing to take the time to explain how the roof is aging (the need for adequate ventilation in the attic to avoid heat buildup that degrades the asphalt shingles...)

I feel I received more than my money's worth for Curt's time and professional attention.

When I need my roof inspected, repaired and/or replaced, I will certainly call Curt Turner again. And I recommend him to anyone needing a roof inspected and/or repaired.

The services performed helped the water problem but did not completely take care of it. Curt wanted to come out when it was raining so he could assess exactly where the water was coming from. He came out a couple of weeks later when it was raining and, again, cleaned out the gutters. He also installed some additional flashing at the lower part of some of the siding and a rubber hose to take water away from the house. He did not charge any additional amount for the work he did on this visit. This has taken care of most of the water problem. Curt told me what he would do to solve the rest of the water problem (rehang the gutters and some additional flashing) and suggested that I put some gutter covers on the gutters so they do not get clogged and back up the water, which is causing some of the water to run over the concrete into the basement. He said the gutter company could also rehang the gutters at the appropriate angle. I had another company try to find the source of the water problem and fix it before I called GCC Roofing and Exteriors. The other company took several months and never did correct the problem.

The company was highly recommended to me by a friend of a friend. Originally, we were requesting that our shed roof be replaced. The roof was in bad shape and was covered by a tarp and underneath the tarp several holes were visible. The owner came out (I was not home at that time) and said that he looked at the roof. He gave me an estimate to redo the roof - $750 tear off and disposal and $280 in supplies. This was the avg. estimate I received from several other companies. We agreed to have the work done. After the owners crew had come out and torn off all of the shingles, I received a phone call from the owner that it would cost an additional $500 to re-do the trusses. He was at Home Depot to get the additional supplies and expressed that he was sorry about the additional work but that he was unable to predict the extra work involved. He also suggested we could tear down the shed for maybe $200-400 and very nicely looked at the cost of a new shed at Home Depot, which was more than the cost we were interested in incurring at the time. It was to rain the next day and our shed was full of belongings, we felt we had little other decision but to proceed with the work. We were very frustrated with the cost of the additional work that we were told was needed after the shingles were all torn off, which almost doubled the cost of the original bid for the original work we were told was needed. The owner told us there was no way that he could predict the condition of the trusses and that he hasn't seen a roof that bad in maybe 15 years. Again, we question how thoroughly he assessed the work that needed to be done and therefore we incurred additional costs. As there was a tarp on the roof and two holes in the roof I am surprised he was not able to to predict the greater damage and additional work that would be needed. The owner was very professional and seemed honest throughout the entire process, but in the end we felt very frustrated. We tried to compromise on the price with the owner, but he would not budge. When we told him we were members of angie's list he expressed concern that some members use it to manipulate prices when they are not happy. Overall, the owner was very professional, his staff were great and the work seems to be excellent. I just am not sure I would use him again. But, if he was being honest and it was the extra work really was that hard to predict then it is unfortunate that things turned out as they did and I am writing a not so favorable review. He was very responsive and professional and very apologetic and emphasized that he was not able to predict the extent of the damage and that it is rare to see so much damage.

Bought an older 1970's house from a flipper with what looked like a brand new roof. We experienced some small spot leaks and then the gutters started falling off the sides of the house. Unlike most roofing companies, that made a ballpark guess on square footage and threw me a number. Curt, the owner of GCC spent well over an hour crawling around on my roof and inspecting the the exterior of our house. He found a number of serious issues hidden under the new work, all of which were obvious as they started tearing things apart later. He gave me VERY detailed estimates, and took the time to run several different scenarios through his calculator making sure I knew all of m options from cheapest to most expensive. He really understood my desire to find a balance between cheapest options, and getting the work done right that would last. His crews did a great job, and Curt was honset as could be. They found a way to repair my trusses when he could have easily told me they had to go. And when a delivery mistake was made on a minor item (cheaper tar paper than we ordered) which there was no way I would have ever known about, Curt brought it to my attention and made sure my cost was adjusted. GCC was definately not the cheapest estimate I got, but I am sure I would have been hit by higher charges once another company started working on my roof...OR...I would have had a company put a nice cover over bad work again and would have been repeating this process again in a few years. I was VERY pleased with GCC and would definately use them again.

They didn't charge me until they were completely finished and I was satisfied with the job. The owner came out and made sure everything was going OK. The owner is very honest and I also had some specific requirements and he worked with me on that. I also received the 50 year workmanship and shingle warranty, because he was on the list of master roofers
