Description of Work: Been using them for years. Most people in the neighborhood do too. They are honest, do great work, and stand behind what they do. And they are a great pleasure to work with. They have two shops. The one I have used is in St. Charles, MO.

 + -1 moreFred's in Wentzvile has been the ONLY place I have taken my car for 7 years. They are fast , efficient and honest. I have always , consistantly had the same experience and highly recommend them.
Description of Work: I started having car trouble about 10 miles away --I have them on speed dial. It was a Saturday. They close at 2:00 pm. I talked to Steve . He said "You can make it --just nurse it here." I got there at 1:00 pm . They diagnosed the problem had the part in stock and I was leaving 30 minutes later. ON A SATURDAY.

 + -1 moreAfter calling three other garages for a quote, Fred's quoted me about half of what the other garages were wanting. A "Thanks" would have been nice when I picked up my car, but other than that no problems.

 + -1 moreMY EXPERIENCE THIS TIME EXEMPLIFIED WHY I HAVE BEEN USING THIS FIRM SINCE THEY OPENED. WE STARTED USING FRED'S WHEN WE LIVED IN ST.CHARLES. SINCE WE HAVE MOVED TWICE, CURRENTLY LIVE IN SOUTHERN ST. LOUIS CITY. I'VE TRIED OTHER SHOPS FROM TIME TO TIME, BUT WHEN I HAVE A BIG JOB AND AM AFRAID OF BEING RIPPED OFF, I DRIVE ALL THE WAY TO FRED'S. TOO BAD (FOR ME) THAT THE NEW SHOP WAS OPENED FARTHER WEST INSTEAD OF EAST. WE HAVE TAKEN A VARIETY OF OLD CLUNKERS THERE FOR EXHAUST WORK, AND ALWAYS WISHED THEY DID OTHER WORK B/C WE WERE SO HAPPY WITH THEM. I'M SO GLAD THEY EXPANDED THEIR SERVICE OPTIONS. I HAVE DEALT BOTH WITH FRED, AND MANY OF HIS EMPLOYEES, AND GET THE SAME GREAT SERVICE FROM ALL. THEY'RE OPEN UNTIL 6PM, WHICH ALLOWS A FULL WORK DAY BEFORE COMING IN TO PAY. THINGS I TRULY APPRECIATE ABOUT FRED'S IS THEY EXPLAIN THINGS TO ME IN DETAIL, TIMELY PHONECALLS, HONESTY, CLEAN and TIDY SHOP, SPACE TO PARK, HONESTY, FAIR PRICING. HIGHEST HONORS TO THIS GREAT COMPANY!!
Description of Work: EVALUATED AND DIAGNOSED AS I REQUESTED. REPLACED CV AXLE, FRONT/DRIVER'S SIDE, REPLACED POWER STEERING PUMP, DID AN OIL CHANGE, REPLACED DRIVER'S SIDE WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID LINES, REPLACED WIPER BLADES ON 1990 HONDA ACCORD. I DROPPED THE CAR OFF AFTER HOURS WITH A LONG TYPED LIST OF ITEMS TO ATTEND TO. THEY RETURNED MY CALL AFTER LOOKING AT THE VEHICLE, ADDRESSED EACH ITEM, GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE FOR EACH. I ELECTED TO DO SOME OF THE ITEMS (SEE ABOVE) AND NOT OTHERS. THEY GAVE ME A TOTAL AND A TIME ESTIMATE, THE CAR WAS READY ON TIME, THEY DID EXACTLY THE WORK WE HAD AGREED UPON, AND THE TOTAL WAS SLIGHTLY UNDER THE ESTIMATE. UPON DRIVING THE VEHICLE HOME, IT PERFORMED EXCELLENTLY, THE EFFECT OF THE REPAIRS WAS OBVIOUS.
