Lawn Irrigation

Electronic Rain LC was contracted by Parkside Villas Homeowners Association and their management company Sentry Management to provide an estimate on sprinkler repair. According to Sentry Management they were never hired and no contract was ever signed, I also did not hire them, I never saw a contract stating their policies nor did I sign anything agreeing to their conditions. The first contact I made with Electronic Rain LC was when Tim came to my door and told me he cut the cable and fence. He said he would fix the fence and contact Charter. I informed Tim of my heart monitor situation. I was notified by Kip the office said Charter was not in my area. After showing him a bill he said he would take care of the cable repair and fence repair. After two hours of no fence or cable repair, my Dad chased down Kip and told him the fence was still not working. Kip came to the house and said he didn't repair fences but he would take care of it. I then called Charter, Latescha, to see when the cable would be repaired. I again explained about the heart monitor. She said no service ticket had been placed and she had no record of the call. She placed the call and had the cable fixed in 2 hours. I then had to call Kennelwood and wait 1 week to get the fence fixed. Again, I had no contract or made any agreements with Electronic Rain. The contract they provided BBB is blank. They came into my yard without my permission despite the fact there are 2 dogs on premises. They cut cable that was located and the electronic fence, which is like leaving the gate open, and left me the expense of repairing. I sent them the repair bill and never got a response. After several more attempts I finally received the following email:

As I explained on the phone to you, we are not responsible for cutting anything if it is not located with paint and/or flags but would be willing to split the bill with you. If acceptable please respond in writing/email. Thank You,

Since they were never hired and a contract was never signed I do not feel I should pay half the cost for their mistakes.

*Sue, I understand you frustrations and this is not a typical scenario as we did not authorize anyone to do any work. The Board and I met with the irrigation company to discuss irrigation issues but never authorized any work to be completed nor had a signed contract or I definitely would had given homeowners notice.
