I left a message for Matt to schedule an estimate. After 3 days and no return call, I tried again and received a return call. He said he lived in St. Charles and didn't want to drive out for an estimate, so he gave me an estimate over the phone (I live in Lake St. Louis). He told me it would be between $250 and $300, but wouldn't exceed $300. The person who came to do the work showed up on time, was professional and courteous. When it came time to pay, the person who did the work called Matt and asked for a total. I was told that it was $350. I explained that the verbal estimate I was told was to be no more than $300. We called Matt and he didn't answer. I left a message. After several minutes, I tried to call again and he answered. Said he'd only charge me $300. I felt that he was trying to get away with charging me more than we agreed upon. I don't live far from St. Charles and would have perferred to schedule an estimate than to have the discrepancy when it came time to pay. On a positive note, the person who did the work noticed that we were covering an existing register and offered to cover it with a small piece of sheet metal for no change. I really appreciated that.

After receiving a post card advertising Bizelli heating and cooling was setting appointments for inspections, we gave Matt a call to set an appointment in approximately one week. We had used Bizelli service before it became part of Alro Heating and Cooling and we had liked Matt when he had called on us before for our twice-yearly inspection. Mr. Bizelli arrived promptly at the appointed time, did his checklist and finished up neatly. He told us he had also found a clogged hose on the humidifier and cleaned it out so it is now operable. That humidifier has never worked since we moved in in 1999! No extra charge for the extra work on the humidifier.

We thought the price was very fair. My husband went under the crawl space and looked at the work. He is excellent about returning calls. and he is a very conscientious, young man.
