Beseda was very professional and courteous throughout our engagement. The floor has received many positive comments over the past two years. I recently noticed that some of the grout lines had minor cracks in them and asked what could be done. This was over two years since the flooring had been installed. Brian was very responsive and came over personally to look at the floor and then followed up with the grout manufacturer to address the problem. He did an excellent job correcting the situation. I definitely recommend Beseda for any flooring work you need done.
All tools and equipment were stored away at night and everything cleaned at the end of each day. They were able to do the kitchen backsplash (complete with grout) and hardwood floors in two days and then came back the next week to rip out the rest of the old carpet and install the new, again this was knocked out in less than two days. I had one minor detail on the stairs that was actually really not their fault, the new carpet for the stairs was not as thick as the old and he came back and fixed it right up without hesitation. All around impressed with this company and would definitely use them again.
Arrived on time and began work immediately on removing the carpet from the office. Because some large pieces of furniture could not be removed from the room they had no problem working around them. Worked straight through with little time taken for lunch and were done by early afternoon. More than pleased with the work done and would have them back in the future.
installation was an entirely different story. installer left very clear seams in open loft area and at entry to each bedroom (3 bedrooms in all).
the installer retured to correct after I complained but didn't do much good. His appearance was very poor (big baggy sweatpants with an oversized flanel shirt/coat). after discussions with the company they returned with a different installer who was able to take care of the largest seam but to this day (1 year later) there are very clear seams at the entrance to each bedrooom.
They worked until 6 PM, and then finished up the next morning. Every tile was placed (or cut when necessary) with precision. Their measurements were precise and worked out beautifully with no waste or damage. Though they had other jobs pressing them, they refused to take shortcuts and took pride in their quality workmanship. There were no unexpected costs, and the product looks great. I love my new floor.
We would highly recommend Beseda's and especially this crew, and will definitely consider them should we have future needs.
After placing the order, Brian held on to the flooring for a few weeks until we were ready for it at our house. He then personally delivered it on a date that worked best for us and told us that he would replace any damaged material. The flooring was in great shape and we didn't have to ask for any replacement.
We did not experience any difficulties in working with Beseda Flooring. The process was simple and smooth and we got exactly what we wanted. I'd definitely recommend them to a friend.
We have encountered quite a few snags along the way, especially with the kitchen cabinets installation. For example, the island measurements were too close to install the stove top and the downdraft and required some very creative work by the installing contractor, K-Build, and the counter manufacturer Hallmark, but they everything worked out at the end. There were some materials, such as toe-kick plate and the skins, that were short, but Beseda has arranged additional parts to be shipped on a priority basis and they arrived on time. It would have been nice if things went a bit smoother then they did and we did have some craftsmanship issues, but in the end everything was corrected to our satisfaction. The staff at Beseda, from the owner Brian to designers Liba and Kendra, were very responsive and did everything in their power to keep the project on track. As an example, during the kitchen demolition contractor did not hang the plastic sheets to contain all the dust, and Beseda send a cleaning crew to clean the walls and the furniture free of charge. That is good customer service in our books!
We would definitely recommend Beseda Flooring to our friends and consider hiring them again for future projects.
Their price was in my opinion quite high. I could have bought the same products from an online retailer for roughly $300 (about 25%) less, including delivery charges. I did not because I have had a VERY bad previous experience with buying flooring online. We could also have bought it for less from Home Depot, but chose Beseda based on the expectation of good service. Beseda supposedly offered such service, which I saw as a trade off for the higher price.
In point of fact, they were not very good, nor readily forthcoming, in my opinion at answering questions from a DIYer. The manager didn't seem to want to bother to spend much time at all in answering questions through e-mail correspondence. They also seemed less than fully knowledgeable about which matching vinyl fillers or touch-up pastes were right for the flooring (for repairing any possible future scratches, etc.) I had to locate that information without their help. Home Depot knew the right matching filler.
So, I was overall somewhat disappointed with their 'great service'. They were essentially honest and fair, and they got the product to the store (where we picked it up) from a distributor in the time promised, but I would probably not buy from them again based mainly on price not seemingly worth the 'great service'.. The Armstrong flooring itself seems to be working out fine so far.
