 + -1 moreAbsolutely miserable experience as Buyers. In particular, avoid Harry Hilburg if at all possible, he kept asking for same documents over and over that we had already sent him, and for info that was none of his business, not involved with the mortgage at all. The $675 I mention above is his closing costs. We did close successfully, he told the title company that he would be there for closing to go over his portion, but he was a no show!!! BofA had another document for us to sign and we had to go back in to sign something new AFTER closing.
Description of Work: We were Buyers of a new house in St Louis.

 + -1 moreI'm not blaming Angie's List, I just forgot about it so thought I'd write a warning to others to remember their recurring charges when dealing with credit cards, banks, and their control of interest rates. I'm going to fight it.
Description of Work: I received a notice from my credit card company stating that they were, of course, making changes and increasing my interest rate on new purchases... so I decided, I won't use it anymore then!! I have good credit, I never miss a payment, and I knew to call and cancel the one recurring payment I have on that card so the rate would not change... but I forgot about my annual automatic renewal charge with Angie's List. This triggered an interest increase from 7.9% to a 19.9%. I spoke with them and they were very cooperative, and they assured me that they would not raise the interest rates on my prior purchases.

 + -1 moreWe spent a good deal of time with Denise and she was very patient with us. She explained everything in detail and went over it twice when we still didn't understand. With her help we qualified for a great loan. The paperwork went quickly and smoothly. We were very happy with her help.
