Great, Air Alliance Team came out quickly, checked the system, replaced a fitting, and recharged the systems with Freon. The house was cool again in 15 minutes. Great company and a great price.

This is tricky. I made the initial call stating I thought I needed a new thermostat for my furnace as my furnace was running non stop. Air Alliance made a very quick appointment and was very professional and kind on the phone. That was only the start and the ending is NOT pretty! Day 1. Tech came out. Immediately dismissed my thermostat theory and went straight to the main unit. I don't remember this guys name, but he worked very hard. He was very nice and he tried everything he knew to fix the problem. After over 2 hours the only solution was to block air going into my unit by covering 1/2 of my filter with a piece of paper. Furnace still was not working, thermostat had been completely dismissed. Almost $300 later, I'm back to a freezing house with no solution. Day 2. I called the office and asked how to rectify this problem (I feel like they should have reached out to me). They sent out a senior Tech same day. This tech arrives. Was nice enough, went straight to work. Again, dismissing my thermostat theory, goes straight to the unit. Works for about an hour, no solution. Then he leaves my house comes back in, suddenly tells me I need a new mother board on the blower. Leaves, comes back replaces mother board. Furnace still doesn't work. Then FINALLY replaces the thermostat and poof, things are working. Here is where I am. I'm in about $600 and I do finally have a furnace that works. The techs were both professional, kind and personable. The office is easily accessed. But with all that said, I'm not happy. This is obviously the readers digest version of the experience, but these techs did not want to listen to me at all. They had tunnel vision and are convinced my unit is too small for my house (despite all research saying otherwise and not having one issue with the unit since I had it installed in 2007). Now in trying to dispute the issue, they are of course going to stick to their original theories, just as I am.... IT WAS THE THERMOSTAT! At this point, I've missed 2 days of work, I'm using my lunch time now to address this and overall I feel like I have been completely shafted. I'm not an aggressive/assertive person, I'm not up for a verbal battle over who is or is not right in this matter, but I will go to my death bed stating it was the thermostat from the start. I will not ever use these guys again (although that won't matter to them), I have told everyone I know about the experience and will continue to warn people. Nice is great, but efficiency and listening to the customer is so much more valuable. This was a HORRIBLE experience and ridiculously expensive!

Outstanding service. Thye scheduled my service right away and the tech that came out was friendly, informative, and knowledgeable. Not only did they fix the furnace and humidifier he showed me a few things to make my system run more effeiciently and extend the HVAC's lilfetime. They were not looking to find ways to bill me more but looking to be as helpful and effective as possible. Can't say enough good things about the team at Air Alliance.

We used services a few years ago and were very pleased so called them back when our A/C was not working as it should. Serviceman was prompt and efficient and discussed with us his findings and what needed to be done. We also decided to continue to work with them so purchased a service plan.

After over a week of suffering with the problem, I looked on Angie's list and decided on A's and Sauer HVAC to come out and check our furnace's problem. I forgot to write down the technicians name who came out, but he was very good. He found the problem (some tube that allows gas to flow freely) and suggested we clean it before buying a whole new part. He spent about 5 minutes cleaning the part, put it back in and the furnace worked like new again. Because of this technician's wonderful service and expertise, I only ended up paying a modest "trip charge" instead of a having to replace that part for over $200! Again, I wish I could remember his name, but I would not hesitate to hire A's and Sauer again for any heating or AC issues I may have in the future.

I want to tell you about this company. I had 3 other companies look at this problem before I called these guys. This was a brand new unit & no one (including the company that installed it) could figure out what was wrong. 3 companies came out and none of them would even return my call. I called these guys, and they stuck with it until they figured it out. It took several attempts because my ac was working intermittently but they were finally able to diagnosed and solved the problem. I am telling you right now. Call these guys first. They have great customer service and will do everything they can to take care of you and your family. I am sure they lost money on this deal but their dedication to getting the job done right has earned my repeat business. As a contractor myself, I found their service reliable & accurate. I would reccomend them to anyone! They not on

$435
I was charged $435 for a capacitor that I could have bought on Amazon for $60. Not only that but it didn't fix the problem. They had to come out again a week later to service again and this time they determined there was a leak in the A coil which they wanted to charge me $1700. At this point, I asked friends/coworkers/neighbors if they had any suggestions for a reputable HVAC professional. I got in contact with 2 separate gentlemen that work commercial HVAC but do residential work on the side. They both determined that my AC and A coil are shot and gave me a much lower price to replace. A's and Sauer should have diagnosed the problem instead of just applying the band-aid fix. I basically wasted $435 with them since a new capacitor comes with a new AC. If you're in a pinch, they're good to go with because they are fast (I called around 8AM and they were there before lunch), but you will pay a premium. And as stated above, I do not feel they do a thorough job of diagnosing the problem.
Response from Air Alliance Team
"Thank you for the feedback [Member Name Removed]. We value all of our customer experiences. Our technician determined that your capacitor was not working and needed to be replaced. We also have flat rate pricing and the charge for the capacitor includes the service call, labor, and all materials. The capacitor and coil are two different issues and when we came out we had to get the unit running. The unit has to be running in order to check for any leaks. When the technician left that day everything was running properly. When you called back over a week later we came back out at no charge and found the leak in the coil There are many reasons why we would be more expensive than your friends who do work on the side. Some of those reasons are insurance, licenses, employee wages, taxes, ect. We warranty our work and we will be around when you need us again."

I first called at 8p because we were melting!  After evaluating the additional after hours service charge, which is totally understandable, we chose to rough it out for one night as the tech mentioned it would be likely that they could come out the next day.  The next morning, another A listed company called me back and told me they could get me in on Tuesday (today was Friday!).  I called A's back to see if they could in fact get me in and BAM Bill was at my door in an hour!  He was super-nice and really helpful.  We discussed my options and I felt no pressure one way or the other.  I appreciated the honesty and effort to try and work together to determine the best path.  Within about 30 minutes, we were living like penguins again.  Hooray!  Will definitely call A's first when I have the next issue.

I called late morning on a Friday believing that I would have to wait until the following week. To my surprise, Bill was able to come and he evaluated that the motor mounting bracket was sheered off. When he called to order the part, he informed me that it would not arrive until the next Tuesday. And it did. They promptly returned but discovered that due to the broken bracket, the squirrel cage was malformed and the motor had been overtaxed. He was able to acquire both parts in a timely manner and installed them immediately. He restored the unit to its original state and I am so happy with the results. I learned a lot about my unit because he described to me exactly what he was doing and why. Bill was very knowledgeable and personable. He made a bad situation not seem so bad. When he had completed the repair, he explained some other options regarding summer/winter maintenance that might be beneficial to me. In addition, Terra was very helpful not only in giving me an update on the arrival time but made the billing process painless. Her upbeat attitude helped me to remain calm in my crisis and I appreciated that.Anyone knows that summer in St Louis can be brutal. I can now face the summer with no worries about staying cool - Thanks Bill and thanks to Sauer Cooling and Heating!

Amazing.  I called in the evening to let them know that my AC was broken, and a technician was out first thing in the morning the next day.  It only took an hour or so to determine the problem, and the technician was out later that day with the replacement part. They followed up with me two days later to ensure that  there was no water still. The technician was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and I felt more than comfortable having him in my home. He did not pressure me to replace the entire system, only fixed the part that was broken.

Matt was awesome!  Totally professional even in a heat index of 108!  He also didn't mind my 7 yr old asking him several times if he was going to fix it fast.
I've been using Sauer for about 10 years in 2 different houses and they are always great to work with.  I have their performance plan /elite customer or something so they check out my heater in the fall and AC in the spring and that gives me a huge peace of mind knowing I shouldn't have problems...but today when I did they completely came to my rescue.
He took the time to explain why it happened and told us we shouldn't have any other issues with it but to call if we had any and he'd come back out.

We have used A's Heating Cooling. Inc. for years. Every spring we have
them check our air conditioning and every fall they check our furnace
and humidifer and they also change the filter in our air cleaner. They
are professional, arrive as scheduled and we have had the same repairman
for years. We have found the owner Steve Aubuchon to be easy to deal
with and responsive to any questions we have. We highly recommend their
service. The comapy is locally owned and operated.

Steve Abuchon was great at thinking through creative ways to install the most effective system for the lowest possible price.  We compared quotes from A's and two other known names in the area.  Each contractor proposed a different solution, but considering the amount of work to be done in each bid, A's price was much better.  Though we abandoned most of the existing duct work from the old gravity feed furnace system, Steve found ways to use some of it for return air.  He also worked with us to install the system in two phases to spread out the cost.  He was patient in looking for ways to run new duct work with minimal changes to the interior walls, and in the end we were able to do the whole project without moving any walls or building any soffits.  Steve was easy to get a hold of during the project and kept mostly on schedule.  Since they are a small operation, he had to pull off our project for a day or two to answer an emergency call, but he notified us ahead of time to make sure it would not be a great inconvenience.

I will continue to recommend A's as my first choice for HVAC installation and repair.

We have a special furnace and heating stuff, so the price was reasonable. We have used them over 30 years. They are definitely excellent. They are good providers. They are responsive and do quality work. They come in twice a year in the spring and fall. I would grade them highly all the way. We like to deal with local people we know. My husband has known them since they started the business.
