He did very good work. He came out right away, cleaned out the one drain to the sewer, and it was very quick. He cleaned up after himself; it was the floor drain, so he cleaned the whole floor as well. It went well.

Three things came up that kept me from being satisfied: price higher than estimate, communications issues and in my experience with having a yearly "maintenance" cabling of the line for roots, did not have the right tool for the job.

Sewer line clogged on a Sunday and sewage backed up into the basement. Called Access in the 10 am hour. Was quoted a price over the phone to be about $170. Technician experienced some miscommunication about our phone number and had trouble reaching us. We had to play phone tag with the office and the technician to confirm a time for technician to arrive. Technician finally arrived after 4 pm. Technician cleared sewer line but did not have the customary 6 inch cutter head for the cable that is usually required to remove all of the roots from our cast iron line. Instead he had to use a different type of head that was not a cutter head. Technician cleared clog in less than one hour. I was charged $229, which was over the original $170 phone quote. Luckily I had a coupon and got the total price down to $200.

Bottom line, the clog is cleared but I am not convinced that the line is clear of roots since water does not flow as freely as it usually does after a cabling.

This company saved our lives. They expedited service to us to get our main soil pipe and sewer drain line repaired and cleared after it had ruptured. They worked in a crawl space which makes this type of repair a more arduous task. We so appreciated their speedy response. The workman was completely professional explaining what he was doing and always communicating when he had to leave to pick up parts. We look forward to using this company in the future for any of our plumbing needs.

We needed to have the pipe in our laundry room unclogged. I called, they said they could be there the next day, and they were. They were able to resolve the issue and get the pipe running again. The even recommended a service I didn't know existed, which we will have done this year (jet blasting the inside of the pipes to clean them from years of gunk built-up). Would definately recommend again in a heartbeat.

I didn't feel comfortable doing business with this company. They were ambiguous about amount for the job and I had to press them to give me an estimate on the work. They had a coupon for 15% off labor for Angie's list customers, but then balked at giving it and in the end, did not give me the entire 15%. They put in a main stack, which then leaked at the fitting because it was not tight enough and they wanted to charge a service call for coming out to fix that. They originally deducted $50 from the bill ($810), and when I brought to their attention that the coupon was for 15% of the labor, they complained about giving it and saying they should just charge what it costs. ??? They ended up refunding another $30, but that still wasn't enough, as I had taken their invoice to a plumbing supply company and priced the materials they used, which didn't amount to much. I must have misread their rating with Angie's List because I normally only pick companies with more than 10 positive reports.

This could be a long one. Weekend before a major sleet/snow storm my drain in basement backed up (clean laundry water fortunately). I found Access listed on Angie"s List because they provided 24 hour service. They came on Sunday in the very cold weather and worked until 8.30pm to isolate the problem and give us some relief (limited water only). They contacted the town we live in Monday to get the go ahead to repair due to the emergency situation (town has insurance). They had to push the town to agree as they wanted 3 bids. In the meantime it had started sleeting. They worked that night in awful conditions until 10.30pm. Their bucket loader broke, they went immediately and got a replacement. Most others would have quit for the night. They got that part of the line replaced and managed a small cable to allow water only (not even paper) down there. The next day was the snow storm and freezing cold. The town insisted that we now get 3 bids to finish replacement. Insanity. Access were forced to retrieve their equipment (which they did neatly and carefully to minimize property damage.). They came in lowest by a hair and returned in almost subzero weather to compplete the job but it wasnt until the following week due to delays with bids, town etc. They pulled all the appropriate permits, inspections, digright etc. They submitted everything to the town. The town caused us extra expense by not allowing them to complete the job. Jason assures me when the ground settles they will repair the mudbath in my back yard. Jason in the office and Tom and Denny on the ground (and others whose names I don't know) were so courteous and amazingly dedicated to do this in the conditions of the worst storm in 30+ years. I would very highly recommend them to anyone for anything.

Called Access to fix a leak under kitchen sink, and to figure out odor coming from bathroom drains. They had to call and reschedule twice because of weather and other scheduling issues. Two men came on day of appt, arrived on time; one began working under sink, turned out to be a leak from the garbage disposal, where a pipe was cracked. The other gentleman spent a few minutes in the bathroom, stated that odors are hard to pinpoint because it can be a problem with a pipe somewhere in the wall, which you don't want to investigate first. As the odor wasn't present this day, he said he really had no idea what it was (I explained that it smelled like sewer/gas odor, sometimes from the sink drain, sometimes from the bathtub drain). He stated to pour bleach down the overflow drains, sometimes that will take care of odor. We have done that several times since, the odor still comes sometimes. Garbage disposal fixed.

They checked the water pressure and fixed the shower head in the bathroom. The experience of working with them was good. They did all that I asked them to do. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

They came before the time promised, he asked questions, and looked over the drains. He snaked the drain, and recomended poaring some bleach down the pipe after he left to help clear the drain.

They came out within an hour or two and they responded immediately. They got the job done and I was satisfied with them. They came promptly and they were very personable. I was happy with the price. They cleaned up after wards. Most companies that I looked worked Monday to Friday, but these people worked on Saturday as well. They were able to come right away which I appreciated.

What impressed me most about Access Pluming was that the Owner Tom McCall, a master plumber, stopped by to check on my kitchen sink replacement and he stayed and helped complete the job that took some time because of minor problems with my old sink and the old plumbing. Tom wanted it to be perfect and it was. You could have eaten off the area surrounding my new Koehler sink, new Delta faucet and new Insinkerator because they installed, cleaned and caulked to perfection. Access has done half dozen projects at our older home and I am 100% for Access Plumbing & Dain Care of St. Charles, Missouri.

We had water backing up into our utility room from the floor drain. This was the 3rd/4th time this had happened. A previous plumber that we called on an earlier backup told us it was best if someone could come out as it was happening. This time we saw the water backing into the utility room. We tried several plumbers from Angies List, but no one could come out right away. Another Angies List plumber recommended Access Plumbing and Drain Care. We called and they were able to come out very quickly. Tim, was very professional and pleasant and was able to fix the problem right away. The utility room is off our kitchen and he was very diligent as he worked to keep things neat and clean. Since he did such a nice job, I asked him if he had time to look at our kitchen sink. We were getting some very bad smells coming up through the pipes. He took a look under the sink and told us that the dishwasher line and pipe to our disposal needed to be adjusted to flow properly. He adjusted them and we have had no bad smells since! Yeah, Tim!
