No unexpected issues occurred during this visit.

The price was the highest quote we received, but we understood that they had performed well on other jobs in the past and didn't mind paying extra. We did not know at the time that the jobs they performed for others in good fashion were small ones. There were quite a few issues with getting the quote to specifically state what the scope of work would include. When we finally got that worked out and the work began, it was to take 6-8 days to complete. It took 3 1/2 weeks and it still wasn't completed when they were fired from this project. The owner stated that he was experienced in this type of project and it is obvious to us and the subsequent contractors we have had to interview and/or hire, that this is not the case. Each contractor stated that this company was well in over their head and it was obvious that this company does not have experience in this type of project. There were multiple errors; uneven walls, curve radius' are uneven, caps are misaligned, pillars could not be completed due to a lack of know-how and experience. Trash pieces of stone were used in the final wall to avoid them having to purchase more material, the labor and material were underestimated by the owner and the owner's total lack of professionalism and his unbelievable rudeness were the last straw. He didn't show up for 2 days, when I asked why he didn't show up or call the previous day, his response was, "If you wanted to know where I was so bad, why didn't you call me." This is a completely typical response from this individual. With all these issues, the owner still had the audacity to request full payment when he was fired for a totally sub-standard job. When we refused, he refused to leave our property. I ended up having to call the police 40 minutes later to have him and his employees removed. We have had a lot of work done in our home and have never had one major issue with a contractor. This is the first time and it was extreme.
