ONE MAN & A TOOLBOX

This contractor did not have the necessary skills to perform the repairs even though he stated that he could do them. He hired outside help and essentially subcontracted it out to someone else. Our home was not livable at the time due to the extensive damage from a pipe that burst which flooded our kitchen, hallway, one bedroom, bathroom, and part of the living room.  We hired Chuck Ruggeri of "One Man and a Toolbox" to perform the repairs on the ceilings and sheet rock.  His crew used our household vacuum cleaner to suck up wet drywall which ruined it. The sheet rock did not match up and had gaps.  It looked horrible and we requested he return to do the job correctly which he refused.  Subsequently we hired someone else to re-tape and mud the walls again and had an orange peel texture blown over them.  Pursuing reimbursement wasn't worth a small claims court case.  I would never recommend this general contractor for anything more than minor repairs that I could perform myself and even then I would be hesitant.
