MORGAN ROOFING

We moved into a small house where the roof was leaking during a rain storm. We interviewed several roofers and decided on Morgan Roofing...a very likeable and energetic young family man. His estimate was higher than others, but, we liked him. We spoke to him about replacing any rotten materials on the roof, which he said he would. We trusted him and was not present every minute while he worked, but checked in with him regularly. His crew had cut out on him and he and his wife were up on the house working diligently, we thought. After the job was finished there was still sagging in our roof, but I dismissed it since it was an old house. He also cut into the roof to install a ridge vent since there was none. Once he had finished the job and was gone, we noticed he had left some items including an air hose we knew he would need. We called repeatedly and he would not return our phone calls. That was strange, I thought. The second clue I received is when I turned on our attic fan and some of the wood he had sawed off to install the ridge vent came flying in at us. I went to clean all that up and noticed that the wood crumbled in my hand. This past weekend we were replacing siding and soffits and saw that instead of replacing rotten wood along the edge of the roof (which was hidden under the soffits) he had covered the rotten wood with some metal flashing and then covered that with shingles. I am absolutely disgusted with the lack of ethics this company operates with. Please do not use him. His dishonesty has surprised me and taught me a valuable lesson: There are con men in all professions!
