Absolutely do not hire!  The only thing that motivated him was coming and picking up a check!  He told us he would be done in 1 and 1/2 weeks.  He began the first of May,2011.  We had rentors set to move in on June 2, 2011.  He still was not done on June 3, and I kicked him off the property, and hired someone else to finish the job.  The first week he worked a total of 8 hours.  The second a total of 14 hours.  Then he had two people come work with him as I was fed up!  June 1st, he and the others worked a total of 36 hours straight trying to finish up.  
He was caught in many lies.  He told us that the first 4,000 we gave him he immediately went to Home Depot and ordered everything.  He never did that.  After having many problems with him, I called Home Depot and checked on him.  There never was on order placed.  He then said he had ordered the carpet from Lowes.  He had never done that either.   He tried to re-sell our dishwasher to one of his employees instead of paying her.  He told me that he took it to the dump.  After asking him many questions, he told me what he did.  He also tried to re-sell new carpet to make a profit off of us.  Lastly, in the end he told his employees that he couldn't pay them what he had agreed to pay them!
Since having him work on our home, we have had to have a plumber out there 3 times to repair what he did, an electrician out to fix his work, and the most expensive repair we have had to do was to pay a company to scrape the "bathroom refinishing" job that he did and re-do it the correct way.  That was 1, 200.00! 
It doesn't pay to go with him because he is cheap.... We have learned... you will get a cheap job done!
I recently checked him out on case.net   He has had many suits against him, and he has yet to pay on them.  He takes your check and immediately goes to the bank and cashes it.  This way his wages will not be garnished.
Lastly, he brought his "wolf-pup" with him to work.  Not very professional.
