 + 0 moreI have been using Jeff for about 2 years now, and he has been great. Price of car repair is not cheap anywhere you go and SMS is no different. Prices are competitive compared to other local repair shops. I have older vehicles and they have a lot of minor things that need done, Jeff and the SMS team are always quick to get my vehicle in and back to me as quick as possible. He offers me over the phone diagnosis sometimes if it may be something I can repair myself. It takes a lot for me to trust an auto repair establishment, and SMS Autosports earned my trust. I will continue to use SMS.
Description of Work: I have 3 vehicles and he as worked on all 3, anywhere from a state inspection to an engine replacement.

 + -1 moreJeff was very polite when I called, and was able to work around my schedule very well. We had just moved from Kansas to Missouri and had never had vehicle inspections completed before. I was nervous about being taken by crooked mechanics wanting to make a quick buck. Like the owner of SMS, I grew-up in the automotive field and therefore prefer to do all of my own repairs. However if an inspector says something is in need of repair it must be done or you cant get your tags. So my first vehicle was a 2007 Sierra with 80,000 miles. After the inspection Jeff said I needed lower ball joints, and provided a written quote for somewhere around $500.00. Jeff explained to me that the size of the wheels puts a lot of strain on the ball joint and this is usually why they fail. Skeptical I took my truck home and proceeded to replace the ball joints myself. AND YES THEY WERE BAD! I called SMS back and explained that I had changed them myself, and he said if you can stop by he would check it again and sign-off on the paperwork. Well I got there a little after closing, and Jeff was rushing to get to an SMS sponsored race event. He dropped everything and completed my Inspection anyway. Wow this company really does try to put the customer first. I believe that SMS Autosports does everything they can to be honest and truthful, providing the best parts and service possible. Our van passed the inspection without any issues. I will recommend all of my family and friends use SMS autosports in the future!
