All construction deadlines are tricky, especially given Midwest weather, but the outcome is what we wanted and will grow into a beautiful landscape over the next few years. I value their quality of workmanship, their ease of allowing an undecided homeowner to change her mind (!) and their adeptness in coordinating with my other yard workers such as the irrigation guy, the concrete guy, and so on.

Michael asks a lot of questions to try to drill down to the essence of the project, and keeps his eye on the bigger vision. That's a pretty valuable skill.

We have a lawn service which is wonderful and we don't use our own equipment because they have their own equipment. Garden Gate show up when they are supposed to . The gentleman who owns the company is a young dad and he is an arborist which is no small thing. An arborist has to know all the different kinds of plants and trees and how to service them, its a huge body of information and testing and everything. Its not the standard yard guide that has that. I would say they show up when they say they will, they have good equipment. Garden Gate have people who have conscious, anytime I have asked them about anything to be addressed, they are definitely willing to address it, no problems, no bossing, no self justifications, they say things like ''absolutely, we know what you are talking about'', ''we are willing to take care of that''. Every company has issues from time to time but its what you do about the issues. Because he is an arborist, he knows what he is doing and we have invested a lot in our yard so it is good to have someone who knows about what he is doing. They do everything in a timely fashion. Their prices are very reasonable and they do the whole yard and the one next to it in about an hour. We pay extra to have the clippings done but that's reasonable, as it takes more time and they have to use an extra equipment which they have to buy. I have 4 lots and they do all of them.
