MICHAEL J'S SVC

Seemed to go okay during system start-up., but provider failed to acknowledge the sprinkler head that I had asked to be replaced in the contract (order form) that I thought I was sending with my payment to Michael J's service. Provider also failed to recognize that one or more of my small area heads required maintenance.
I do not know if Michael J's Service is or is not still in the lawn irrigation system business. They may have just sub-contracted the job to another similar contractor.
I have not made up my mind yet on whether or not I will continue the new contractor. That will depend on how responsive this guy is to any ongoing maintenance this year

I contacted Michael J's on March 14, 2012 for an estimate to totally replace an old/existing sprinkling system. They did not respond until March 26. I confronted this delay and no excuse was made other than it simply got lost on the desk and an apology was made. I appreciated the honesty. From that point forward I cannot say enough positive things about the new owner Tyler and the service and expertise they provided, along with their follow-thru.
They cut off access to the old system, cabled under the driveway, trenched and laid an entire new lawn irrigation system to the front, back, and side yards. Except for one of the 7 competitive bids, they were close to the middle range; several were lower, a couple were higher and one bid was twice as high. I went with Michael J's because of the owner, Tyler, and his honesty when confronted and their on-time and responsive professionalism. The crew was also very professional. There was one small area that I didn't think had quite the coverage it needed; he promptly came, surveyed the situation and said we'll add another joint and two days later it was done without an additional charge. Two friends had similar services provided by competitors and advised it would take 3 years for my grass to grow back. Not true. When Michael J's completed the work, they checked back twice to see how the grass was growing back and they applied some more. This summer was a scorcher but all but one small area is back to where it was.
In my opinion, they are top notch.
