The work turned out okay. The guys that did the work on the digging and retaining wall worked themselves very hard. Those guys worked hard and did a good job. We did have an issue with the owner when he didn't place caps on the drains they installed. We called and asked if he would please bring them over so nothing would get inside and cause a mess. We were surprised when we saw the caps a couple days later laid over the drains in a sloppy way. He didn't even let us know that he had come and installed them. There was also an issue rounding out the end of the retaining wall. My husband had to really push him to get it rounded up, which they finally did, and it was an easy fix. He was a little hard headed on doing what my husband wanted him to do. However, the workers did do a good job.

My previous retaining wall collapsed after eight years, so I called Kohler for an estimate to replace it.  Clay Kohler who is an agreeable fellow responded in a timely fashion and came out and gave me an estimate which included several steps to strengthen the new wall.  I accepted his estimate at the end of November and paid one half down which struck me as high.  Clay told me the work would be done before Christmas, but Christmas and New Year's Day came and went with no wall and no contact from Clay.  Work did start on January 2 and was completed on January 4 and they did an excellent job.  My only complaint is that the work was not performed on the promised schedule.
