Overall the project went very well. He quoted the job in mid-June and thought that he would be able to complete it in July. When he didn't do it in July I called him and he said August. There were high temperatures in August and then he said September. Long story short...it was completed in mid-November.
My recommendation to future customers would be to call him every one to two weeks to check on status rather than letting the schedule continue to move out. I called him a total three times and each time only after a scheduled date had passed.
My recommendation to him would be to proactively contact his customers when the schedule slips to keep them informed. We understand that other projects may come up that are more urgent but we deserve to know when you push our project out and shouldn't have to keep calling you to find out.
Bottom line...when it was finished he had done an excellent job at a reasonable price and I would definitely recommend him to anyone!!!
