HILL-BUILT CONSTRUCTION

The frame of the deck was installed right away, but then the unsightly frame hung there on the side of our house for months while Jim waited for the necessary permit to be able to pour the piers. We had to call every month or so to remind him that we were still waiting on the deck as he never bothered to update us. When he finally got the permit months later, progress was slow on the deck. When it was finally completed, there were several open items that needed his attention (many boards were not secured, railing was loose, etc.). We left him a message, but didn't hear anything back for weeks. I finally sent him a letter along with photos of all of the problems. Again, it took weeks to get him back out here. After supposedly fixing the items, he sent us another bill for something we thought was part of the original estimate, but he claimed was not. My husband walked down the steps, two boards on the steps came loose, and my husband fell. Our deck took him 6 months!
