Called for an ESTIMATE to trim 2 River Birches in my back yard & to remove 2 silver maples in my front yard.  While booking  the ESTIMATE, I was asked it I wanted them to do the work while they were there.  I told the lady on the phone that I didn't want any work done; I was getting 3 ESTIMATES, then would decide. They showed up at 7:30 the next morning, drug a sick 83-year old man out of bed, who had no idea what they were talking and squeezed a check for $375 out of him for a "tree trimming" I could have had Ameren do for free.  It'll take 5 years for the limbs to grow back.  I found the "receipt" on the kitchen table when I got home from work, walked out on the back deck and was horrified.  I called the next day to make sure they never returned to my house again, and to let them know that any estimate they submitted would not be considered.  The lady on the phone said that my "husband" had agreed and didn't they do what I wanted?  I told her I had called for an ESTIMATE, and that I had specifically told her I didn't want any work done while they were at my house and that they didn't do anything I wanted.Thanks to this "trimming", through this horrible heat wave, I have not one spot of shade on the back of my house.Don't let these people anywhere near your house, even to provide an ESTIMATE, as they clearly don't know the meaning of the word.
