Direct Buy Landscaping &Tree Service.llc

Called another company, can't remember the name but was owned by a guy named Chris.  After numerous calls Mr. Lane and Chris showed up at my door and said they had a hard time finding my house.  Left me a flyer with the name Direct Tree Service. They quoted me a price of $1500, which the lowest bid I had gotten was $2400 so I was ready for that tree to come down and I accepted.  Mr. Lane showed up about a week or two later and they moved back a portion of my fence and cut down the tree.  I was happy to get the tree down for such a cheap price and he also negotiated for me to write one check for $800 and post-date the other check for $700.  I had concerns about my fence being properly put back which they did and borrowed a shovel to assist them with that project.  I never got my shovel back, my yard, after I checked it out was a total mess with large craters in it.  I understand that was a large tree but I had a large tree in my front yard removed and it was not that bad. 

Mr. Lane cashed the check before the date in which we agreed on which cost me an extra $35 in overdraft fees.  I contacted him and he said he would make it right but didn't.  I filed a report with the BBB because of my yard, no shovel return and not living up to his deal to not cash the check before the date and saying he would make it good.  Never made it good.  I also didn't like the fact that there was still a 3 and a half foot stump left in my yard.  All I can say is you get what you pay for.  It will cost me more to level out my yard.
