Transmissions by Jeff

Pros:  Jeff was recommended to me by the manager of my local O'Reilly's Auto Parts. I had dropped the pan on my truck to replace the Builkhead Wiring Assembly Connector thinking that was the source of my hard shifting. After switching out the sensor myself the problem actually got worse and I couldn't move my truck from the driveway.  I was convinced that I had gotten a faulty connector since the problem got worse immediately.  That's when I called Jeff.  Since I couldn't drive my truck at this point, he actually came to my house, crawled under my truck with me and installed a new sensor.  That didn't remedy the problem.  Long story short, the transmission was toast.  I had an excessive amount of metal shaving in the pan from some gears getting chewed up.  Jeff walked me through the options of rebuilding vs. buying a rebuilt tranny and having it installed.  I opted for him to rebuild it.  I felt more confident that every part he used would be heavy duty and quality.

Cons:  The only real con is that his shop isn't in a traditional retail type setting and was quite a distance from my home in Wildwood.  So the tow bill was maybe slightly higher than towing it closer but Jeff took care of all that and returned it to me back in Eureka.  If you live closer, this is a nonissue.

Bottom line:  Hopefully, I don't have to use Jeff again because that would mean I'm having transmission problems.  But if I do, he would be my first call.     

Jeff kept me informed via text/text pictures during the whole process of replacing my transmission. I felt an honest professionalism with regard to how Jeff handles business. He strives to get the job done correct and in a timely manner and accomplished that with this job. When you do not know anything about a certain problem, you have to rely on somebody that will not take advantage of the situation. Jeff is this person. I would definately recommend Jeff for anybody that need transmission work.

Perfect. Transmission has performed like it was brand new again. Next tranny work I need I know where to go.
