Stump-I-Cide Tree Stump Removal

Chris and his helper came out to grind the stump of a 6 foot wide maple stump. We are having concrete patio poured over the spot of the stump. He went down about a food and ground out all the stump and all of the runners. They were done in a couple of hours even after grading the spot. No damage to our lawn where he drove the grinder. Very pleased with his work. Price was a lot cheaper than I expected. We will use them again.

Spoke with Chris about removing the remnants of a Bradford that use to be in the yard. Chris came by, provided a quote, and was back within a week to complete the work. The quote was for the work was extremely reasonable. They were quick and did a good job grinding out the roots and smoothing everything over. Looks good and no complaints from me. Definitely worth the money and I'd use their services again.

I requested quotes from four or five local companies through the "Request a Quote" button on Angie's List. A couple companies never got in touch with me. A couple others gave a quote over the phone or by text (one sight unseen). Chris was the only one that came out and spoke with me in person. He explained my options, detailed what he could do, and how he calculated his prices. Chris was not the cheapest (or most expensive) quote I received, but I felt his was the best value. Most quotes ranged from digging down 6-10" below grade. Chris said he would grind down up to 16" and remove as much of the root ball as possible. I elected to have him grind the stumps and remove any excess wood chips/dirt so that the area of the stump removal was level with the rest of the yard. Chris and his crew arrived exactly when he said they would on the scheduled day of service. They were able to remove both stumps and level everything off in about 45 minutes. Overall, they did a great job, and provided excellent service. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a stump removed.

Other companies said they could not get to stump without damaging walkway, plus a guywire to the adjacent power pole and close proximity of my wrought iron fence made estimates of work high. Chris Mueller with Stump-i-cide was confident he could remove the stump to my satisfaction despite the location. He performed the job as predicted and I am very pleased.

Did a great job of getting everything as far as I can tell. Haven't dug into the spot (which is bare right now) but they were supposed to remove it all.

Stump-i-cide did a excellent job. From the time I called, and the time they came out to remove the stump, it was less than 24 hours. That is service. The workers were well mannered and did a excellent job. The owner, as well as the crew explained the pricing for the job in detail. I would recommend this company to anyone.

He comes after you have the tree cut down to the stump. He grind out the roots below the surface. Excellent service and very reasonable price. He is prompt, response right away to both our request and cleaned up the wood chips when he was done.

Called Chris on a Saturday afternoon and he showed up Monday morning. 20 minutes and they were done. They cleaned up the mess and placed all debris in containers so that I could move them. Perfect transaction. THANKS!!!

I called the office number and left a message. Chris called back in a couple hours, even though he was very busy. He had some "street trees" to grind for the city and we agreed he would do my small job when he was out here for the bigger job. He came out a few weeks later, after the record rainfall/flooding had backed up his work greatly. He ground my stump quickly and efficiently, protected my patio with a plywood shield, and cleaned up the area completely. He is very professional and friendly, a nice guy to deal with. This is the 2nd time I have used his company and I have been totally satisfied both times. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends.

Chris and his helper did a wonderful job!  I needed two stumps removed from a rather small garden area around my patio. There were lots of roots through out the entire garden. After taking out the stumps he tilted the entire area to make sure all of the roots were taken care of. One thing he did, that I thought was really great - he had two large shields that he placed around the work area. The shield were to protect the siding on my house, the fence around the garden and the patio. I have had stumps removed before but have never seen anyone take such care while performing the task. He returned calls quickly, showed up on time, completed the work quickly, and cleaned up the work area. I highly recommend Chris and his Helper - they were great and very reasonably priced.

I wish all contractors I hired were as good as Chris. He and his helper did a phenomenal job. Not only were the stumps ground down to the nubbins, he managed to do so without damaging any of the plants very close to the stumps. He then cleaned up all the sawdust from the three big stumps, filled them with nice fill dirt, and placed everything back, including a fairly large rock boulder. 
Then they cleaned up the little dirt that spilled from the truck, so there's no trace of their presence at all. 
I am incredibly pleased with the result. And Chris, himself, is just a pleasure to be around. Just a very nice person.

Chris Mueller (owner of Stump-I-Cide) did a very good job and will definitely be added to my preferred list of service providers.  Chris did a good job of communicating with me as to the timing of when the work would be completed.  Chris and his assistant went about their work in a very conscientious manner, delivered good value for the amount charged, a completed the work on time as promised. 

Chris gave me a ball park estimate on the phone of $100 to $140 based on my measurements of the tree stump.  He said he would have to take a look at it to be more accurate.  We scheduled a date for him to come out and when I asked how far out he was scheduling to get it done, he said he would be able to do it the same day.

We set a date, he came out and quoted $90.  I said great, go ahead and 45 minutes later it was done!

The only thing I regret is I had 7 large wheelbarrow loads of wood shavings to cart down to the woods.

called them and set up an appointment for them to give me an estimate. told them i would be available the next Friday. he called early Friday morning and said he would be by before noon. he arrived around 10:30, wrote me an estimate. i liked the estimate and asked when, he said were are now and i said go for it. in short order it was gone and they filled the hole with top soil.
