He drained the old water heater and then cut the old supply and return lines.  He disconnected the gas line.  He hauled the old wate heater out to his company truck.  He installed the new water heater and used flex fittings to re-attach the new water heater to new supply and return lines.  He re-connected the gas line.  He started the pilot light and explained this operation, the heat settings and showed me where the site hole to the burner was.  Asked if I wanted to replace the old water heater blanket, but I told him I wasn't sure I needed it.  The new water heater has better insulation then the old one.  The price of the install included all labor, parts and removal of the old water heater.  He gave me a $35.00 discount off the labor.  The Angie's list discount, with this company was for labor only.  This company was one of two that actually came out to give me an estimate onsite.  The other companies gave me a phone estimate, but with the final price contingent on the layout of the various piping, venting and the actual site and ability to get in and out easily.  I just felt that the two companies that came out deserved my consideration, because they took the extra step of actually coming out to my home.  The estimate for this job, that I finally accepted, was not the lowest bid nor the highest bid.  It was, however, the acual bid for all services as they knew what the work site looked like and their bid was not open ended.  I felt it was a fair bid and I did not need to worry about add on costs.

The serviceman was at the house less than an hr after he was contacted.  He determined the cause of the leak and gave us the options for repair.   He made the repairs as requested and also fixed a couple other minor plumbing issues while there.  The leak had caused a section of carpet to be soaked with water and he tried helping to get the water out of the carpet. 
I was so excited about the work being done so quickly, I forgot to use my coupon from Angie's List.  That's my only regret about the job and that was my fault.

Took barely 10 minutes.  Drip has stopped but handle of faucet is now loose.

Awesome... Michael showed up 15 minutes after we called... I was waiting for a call back and my wife yelled down and said that they were here.  Took a look at the job and said no problem, should be clean and flowing within an hour.  And it was!!! Much to my wive's delight.  Great service, all was cleaner than it was before Michael arrived.

Our experience with them was great.  They were very professional, courteous, polite and respectful.  They told us exactly what they were going to do.  They cleaned up after themselves.  If they saw a problem, instead of going ahead and fixing it, they will show us exactly what is wrong.  They are very respectful and don't call us by our first name.  I can't stand that when I first meet somebody in business.  They always used titles like “Mr” or “Mrs”.  They were on time.  They would call us if they were running late to let us know.  I am very pleased with and I would recommend them to anybody.

The work they did was fine and pretty quick. Their price was not much reasonable. I chose their company because I had a coupon from Angie's List.

Called at 1:00 pm - technician/plumber arrived at 5:15 - very quick response - called to say on his way. Very personable man - took 45 minutes to fix - no problems - would have preferred paying after the job rather than prepay when he arrived.

They did a good job in the beginning and when they got to the toilet, they broke the toilet in the process. The landlord is paying for it. It took two days they were nice enough and they were clean enough. The out come was fine. I felt it was too much of a stressful event. If I did use them again, I would be more clearer on what they are doing.

From the time I called (on a Sunday morning) - it was less than an hour when the dispatcher called me to say the tech was on his way. Jason got here, assessed the situation, told me exactly what it was going to cost and what the work would be. He brought in a rug to protect the floor, then roto'd out the drain and flushed it. He then went to each bathroom and treated those drains. He was done in less than an hour. He was extremely professional. We had used RR several times when we lived in Ames, IA and were always pleased with the service there. We now are very pleased with the service here in MO. He was able to scan my card, gave me a receipt and away he went. When I looked at the card he left - I realized it was the General Manager, himself who came and got us 'running' again.

We were really well pleased with them. It was an emergency plumbing problem, and they came right out and fixed the problem. The general manager himself came out, and he fixed the problem as well as found some other plumbing problems that didn’t pertain to that per se. He told my husband what was wrong and everything before he fixed anything. We decided to go ahead and have other things fixed. They were very respectful, courteous, and professional. They told my husband about any problems they found, and gave him the options to fix it or not. I would tell others to absolutely go with Roto-Rooter because they are honest. They picked up everything and cleaned up after themselves before they quit for the day.
