My experience with them has been fine.  I have a number of rental properties and they service all of those.  They are able to work me in pretty quickly because I do a lot of business with them.

The company that originally installed my Trane HVAC unit went out of business so for the last few years I used another local HVAC company. My AC was barely blowing cool air in May 2014 so first I called a and quot;local HVAC guyand quot;. He came out, looked at my AC and told me the coil was defective, it would cost almost $2000 to repair/replace, and it was not covered by warranty. I was suspicious about this because this same guy charged me almost $1000 the previous year to replace the motor on the same unit and he claimed the unit was not under warranty even though it was less than 10 years old. I could not find my warranty paperwork then but since had sent off to Trane for the warranty paperwork and I knew it was in fact under warranty. I thanked this shyster for the estimate and then looked up Odessa Heating/Cooling on Angie's List. Tom was extremely busy (a good sign in my book) and it took him a week or two to come out but when he did he thoroughly inspected my unit, cleaned it from top to bottom, and stated the problem was with a valve and not the coil. Total cost for everyhting was $300 and some change and he also told me my unit is still under warranty and the valve he replaced was covered, which saved me big bucks!
Personal note: I suspect that some and quot;shysterand quot; fly by night HVAC companies are telling people their HVAC is not under warranty when it fact it is and they are charging their customers for the covered parts and then sending the parts back to the manufacturer as defective and being paid for that also (double dipping)

They came right out. They didn’t find any gas leaks even though there was a leak. They were good and their price was okay.

We had performance issues with our old HVAC system which was due for replacement. We were not getting heating and cooling up to our 2nd floor bedrooms due to inadequate ductwork--likely to save some $$ during the building process by the previous owners. Tom Casey, the owner of Odessa Heating and Cooling, was referred to us by a friend who told us he was extremely good. We knew we needed someone to analyze the situation and set us up with the best possible HVAC system given the limitations of our ductwork. Tom spent a long time analyzing our current configuration and and very patiently explained to us what was wrong and how he could tweak things to get us a more efficient system. He recommended some changes in the ductwork exiting the furnace and replacing the old HVAC sytem with a slightly larger one. Tom arranged all the necessary testing and did all the paperwork to get us a $1500 Federal Tax credit (to upgrade to a more efficient HVAC system). We now actually have heat in our second floor bedrooms after livng 10 yrs with space heaters! We can't wait till summer to see if the A/C also reaches the 2nd floor. I highly recommend Tom and also his crew. They showed up and completed the work when promised, cleaned up after themselves and overall just did a great install--the system works and looks great. Tom was just great to work with--we found him to be very smart, professional and honest.
